Well today I picked up my deer from him because it is still not complete. He told me it would be ready the start of next deer season. It's April 17th, 2020 and he has done nothing with my deer since sending me a picture of what he had done on Oct 27, 2019. Since October 27th, 2019 it has been one excuse after another. He keeps pushing it back because of this/that. The reasons are spelled out in text messages but don't add up. I've been very patient as this was my biggest buck I've ever killed. I wanted it done right. Well after speaking with him today and several text messages over the last 6 months I've come to realize I cannot trust what he is telling me. He never proactively reached out to me when he wasn't "working" because of this/that. I only found this out by me having to reach out to him with a "Neal, what's the status of my deer?" He hung up on me in today's conversation and then threatened me over text after picking up the deer that he would prosecute me for defamation. I won't go into anymore specifics but would be glad to if anyone wants to inquire if considering him. I've been hunting for 30 years and have several mounts and have never had to deal with someone like this. So be careful when considering Neal. I made a mistake in choosing Wild Outdoor Taxidermy in Edwardsville and clearly as laid out in our communication over text messages Neal has made some too. This is my experience only. In looking at other websites and mounts they had processed, his site and statements were why I chose his business in the first place. Neal went above and beyond to help me to make a knowledgeable decision about how to proceed. He also continued to do research and got back with me with what he had found out. Keep in mind, Neal had nothing to financially gain, he was being a good person and helping out. His professionalism and knowledge is unmatched. I would recommend Wild Outdoor Taxidermy to anyone! You don't get excellent service like this most places
