Took a one hour horseback ride with my family and they were so welcoming. The trail guide was patient and she taught each of my family members a quick lesson then took us on a beautiful path through the woods. Owners clearly live to care for the horses and loved taking their time to show us around and talk about each of their horses. All the horses are treated very well. Had a great time today. Wife and I went for a one hour trail ride and also got a lesson as well. Lorraine is patient and made sure we knew how to stop and turn our horse. She also matched our personality to our horse. Wonderful led trail ride through the Florida outback. Not you usual trail ride. We controlled our own horse. We will be back read more

My 9 year old daughter asked to go horseback riding for her birthday. So I took her and my 12 year old daughter and we had a blast. I mean we had an awesome time. Highly recommended for riders of all experience levels! The horses are so well cared for and you can tell how much they are loved by the way they interact with their riders. I felt like my horse actually picked me by the way it came up to me even before the ride and was just so affectionate. Lorraine is a gem, the trails are lovely, and you could not ask for a better horseback riding experience. I hadn't been on a horse in 20 years and between Lorraine's guidance and the fact that I just fell totally in love with my horse, I felt completely at ease. If you are looking for a place to ride in Florida, look no further. This is the real deal. And if you really love horses, being able to interact with these beautiful, happy animals is the best experience ever. If there were 10 stars instead of only five, I'd give them to Horsespring Farm! read more

I would give 0 stars if that was an option! Lorraine is rude and talks to customers and most importantly to children, in a way a business owner should not talk to a customer but more importantly to a child in a way that is most inappropriate. Overcharged for what they call "riding" and "scenic tours". She had us do circles around her sheds in the "driveway". There were 8 of us that went, so we thought this was as she said to "see" if we could ride, then we would go on the "trail" that turned out to be a 7 minute ride around a few trees, past her horse burial plot. She only had 3 horses available for riding. So we were to "take turns". 2 of the kids rode around the shed 3 times. For a total of about 4 minutes. The others about 8 minutes. Again, thinking this was so she can see we knew how to ride. She said after this we would be taken to the trail which 3 of us went for the 7 minute trail ride and then said nobody else could go. Her helper/guide knew we were not happy and was asking what was wrong, but what could she do. We asked about the price at the beginning, she said we will talk about that when we are done. She said $200 and that was a "deal" she said. So the 5 kids we had with us said that was fun. They didn't know or are they able to understand that $200 for what we got, was a COMPLETE RIP OFF! I paid just to get the hell out of there. And after the "ride" we asked about the carrots we brought for the horses. We asked before we came, Lorraine told us what we could bring, so we did. She told the kids how to do it, how big to break them into pieces, or hold the whole carrot and let the horse bite it. The kids did both and she shook her head, smacked her lips, put her hands on her hips and criticized either that they did. AFTER telling and showing them how to do it! And they did as shown. So then I attempted to feed the horse a carrot. I am 49 and have been around horses and know how to give them a carrot! She did the same to me! So I told the other 7 people I was with to get in the cars so we could leave!!! This is when I asked about payment and paid, so I could leave before things went bad. The way she was talking to us and treating CHILDREN was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! We were all so excited to go riding, kids had never been. After this terrible experience I looked up another stable to take the kids the next day. We were on a "staycation" about 1 1/2 hours from home. So I took them to TURKEY CREEK STABLES!!! IN PLANT CITY!!!!! 3/4 stables full of horses, mini pony's, donkeys, sheep, etc, 2700 acres of wooded trails, staff and guides that were AMAZING!!! All 8 of us rode FOR AN HOUR like Lorraine said her rides are. All for $20 a person!!!!!!! DIFFERENCE WAS NIGHT AND DAY!!!!!!!! We went to Horsespring on Saturday, Turkey Creek on Sunday. So I called Lorraine on Monday to ask about a partial refund due to being so unhappy and such a difference in places. She acted as if she could not hear me!!! So I repeated what I had said she kept saying hello hello and hung up on me. Stayed on the line long enough to know who I was and why I was calling. I will be going back there to see her in person about this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HORSESPRING, BUT ABSOLUTELY DO AND WILL TURKEY CREEK!!!!!!! I just called Lorraine again, she said when she is upset she pops a pill and drinks wine, she suggested I do the same. read more
