Ambiance: 4 Service: 5 Food: 5 Having breakfast in front of the Coliseum with my family. The food is delicious. We ate outside, it was a tad chilly but overall we all enjoyed our meal. Octopus salad is a must! The cheeseburger with the melted cheese tastes amazing even just dipping the fries in it, bomb!

This was good paired with pink wine

We are here while visiting Rome. The food was great and a variety of plates to choose from. We sat tucked away inside with the windows open and the breeze was wonderful. Staff were nice and easy location near the Collesium. Next time I go I would like to sit outside but was busy.

I had been in Italy for 3 days and not one waiter was nice to us or smiled at us, until we came to this restaurant and had the amazing pleasure of getting Giovanni! He was so sweet so friendly, I just wanted to sit there all day!!!! He really helped my daughter feel better, since she was homesick. I wish there more Giovanni's all over.

After walking circles visiting the Colosseum, we took a break at this very very close restaurant. It wasn't very busy and the guest service was solid. We had a quick treat, the tiramisu which was rich, delicate and to the point.

After walking around the coliseum and the Rome forum in the hot sun like your typical tourist, it was nice to be able to sit down at a nice Italian restaurant that is within walking distance. We were even seated across the door view of the coliseum, which we admired while we ate. The servers here were really nice and welcoming. I get the idea that most people who work at restaurant establishments gets a ton of tourists everyday, yet they made time to ask where we were from and some small conversation. Since I haven't had authentic spaghetti in Italy, I decided it was time to order spaghetti with meatballs while it was my last day in Rome. It was tasty, and they brought over a dish of grated cheese. I can't remember the wine I ended up with, but it was the waitress' recommendation and she made a fabulous choice for me! I'd love to come back here if I'm in Rome again.

On a cool December afternoon, this was a work d we duly stop of lunch. Absolutely delicious food. With the Coliseum literally behind us.

    Prime location, that's for certain.

Well it certainly has location going for itself, but not a lot more. Service was poor, food wasn't very good save my daughter's fettuccine Alfredo. And very expensive! I'll leave it at this, if you also find yourself famished after a long day in the heat walking around the coliseum and need lunch in a bad way, do yourself a solid and go somewhere else. I'll assume wherever you choose in that same area will be equally expensive due to the nature of supply and demand, but hopefully the service and food will be better. Cheers!

The food was delicious & well-seasoned and the service was fast! Great area right by the pantheon for a quick meal :)

The women's bathroom. No toilet paper, no seat and urine everywhere.

I was there the first week of june. Not a good experience if you check my other reviews then you will see I am an easier reviewer. First ambience is nice, location is really good. The food was not good, hot items were cold. The staff was arguing and our waiter was consistently rude. They don't wear name tags (no surprise). . Most important the bathroom is coed and a total train wreck. Three toilets and no seat, see below. Really horrible experience go to the bathroom here and get a friend from life in whatever life forms are growing in the bathroom. If I win a free dinner I wouldn't go.

By the time we were seated, dozens of people were waiting behind us. We sipped an Aperol spritz and lemonade while we waited, chatting with fellow diners who raved about the restaurant. On a sweltering day, our kids were starting to struggle in the heat when the owner came outside and gave them mini pizzas breads. It was a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Once seated, we ordered burrata, cacio e pepe, amatriciana pasta, pork chops, and fried artichokes. Everything was excellent, but the amatriciana was the standout--rich, savory, and unforgettable. The cacio e pepe was silky, the burrata fresh and creamy, the pork chops juicy, and the fried artichokes perfectly crisp. There's a reason people line up for Da Enzo. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere lively, and the hospitality remarkable. Without question, this was our best meal in Rome and one of our most memorable restaurant experiences.

The tomatoes were fresh and juicy but the burrata was a bit thick (referring to the outer aspect). Also the bread was a bit tough. The amatriciana was good, but not worth a 2 hour wait in a line, 7.5/10. Pasta was perfectly al dente, but the sauce wasn't anything to die for. I think you can get a very similar possibly better pasta in Rome without the wait. My girlfriend got the gnocchi pasta, which she said was a 7/10. The gnocchi was great, but again the sauce wasn't anything special Tiramisu, 10/10. This was amazing. It was sweet without being overpowering. The ladyfingers weren't soggy, and had that strong espresso taste. I would come back here just for this dessert. Also if you don't like cramped spaces, probably not the best spot. I could hear the people next to me better than I could hear the person across me haha.

We chose this restaurant because of its outstanding trip advisor rating (4.8 stars with over 4,000…read morereviews), so we were expecting an amazing meal. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing meals of our trip to Rome. I want to start by saying the staff was wonderful--everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. We have absolutely no complaints about the service. The food, however, was very underwhelming. The Margherita pizza was undercooked, with dough that was still soft and not fully baked. The chicken dish tasted more like a simple stew and lacked flavor, and the lasagna was just average. Another red flag was that all of our food arrived within about five minutes of ordering, which made it seem like everything had been pre-made rather than freshly prepared. We rarely leave negative reviews, especially when the staff is so friendly, but we chose this restaurant specifically because of its exceptional reviews. I think it's only fair to share our honest experience so other travelers have realistic expectations. While the service was excellent, the food simply didn't live up to the reputation.

Super pizza place with a lot of other great stuff on the menu…read more I looked with envy at the other tables who were enjoying spectacular plates of spaghetti with mussels. * * * That said, my pizza was a grand slam home run. Many of their pizzas are quite elaborate With all sorts of exotic ingredients. I went super simple. Gorgonzola. Mozzarella. That's it. Just enough Mozzarella to cut the Gorgonzola and make for a good melt. * * * If you have never had a gorgonzola pizza, you have never lived. Just sayin'. * * * P.S. My lovely wife got a Norwegian salmon pizza. The Norwegian salmon was stacked up high on her pizza As if she was in the World Series of Poker and she was a big winner. I have never seen so much salmon on one plate. After our meal, I made a discreet phone call to the Norwegian embassy in Rome asking them if they still had any salmon left. The woman at the embassy assured me the Norwegian salmon supply was fine. That surprises me given all the salmon that was on my wife's pizza.

Being new to Rome, and having walked 20k steps on our first day, there are an abundance of options a for dining. We wanted something classically Rome nearby to our hotel. The Yelp review of this restaurant was sufficiently positive to entice us. Being American, we appreciate the earlier-than-customary dining options. We arrived at 6pm without a reservation. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is intimate and very well staffed. The wood fire oven is front-and-center and the fresh mozzarella is prominent in display. We ordered a bottle of wine ... all options are very fairly priced. This is nice. We started with a Greek salad to share. It was unlike any American Greek salad ... and a really delight. It is early June but the tomatoes and peppers were ripe and crisp and really fresh. My wife ordered the Marguerite pizza; I opted for the Gorgonzola pizza (the effusive review on Yelp was compelling). Both were solid. We appreciate the thin crust and the crisp edged. The center of both, however, was doughy and somewhat undercooked. Looking around ... the restaurant was over 50% full even at this early hour. Most were Americans. We saw a good number of diners with pasta dishes ... and none were left unfinished. Sadly, we don't have any comparisons to weigh (yet). So, I cannot affirm any "best of" citations, it this is certainly a solid trattoria/pizzeria. The staff are attentive and the food served hot and fresh.
