First, the fact that you are required to pay before you eat is not very appealing. This is, especially, true because the quality of the food is very poor. The servers can be nice. It just depends on if they think you will tip well or not. The feel inside the restaurant is not bad. It's actually a nicely constructed setup inside. We have been going to this buffet for years. The food is good the restaurant is clean. I would recommend it to everyone. Recently I had an experience that left me a little uncertain. I had paid for my meal with card, my cash in the car. I forgot to put the tip on the receipt. I left to go to my car and get the cash. The waitress stopped me at the door and told me I forgot to tip. Today, I carried my family to the restaurant to celebrate a new job. When we entered the restaurant, I informed the cashier that we had six and one under six years old. He took our drinks order and charged us. While eating, the same cashier came over to our table, interrupted our dinner and accused my wife of sneaking the 7th person in. It's not my fault that the cashier can't count b/c we all came in together. In fact, I informed when we entered that we had six adults and one under six. We always enjoy going to this place, but after today, it changed the complexity. My six-year-old granddaughter only ate fruits. I am happy that I was away from the table when this conversation took place. Since it was the restaurant mistake, the cashier could have overlooked the six-year-old. Most restaurants don't charge a six-year-old. However, I assumed they needed the $9.99. If you have more than two people in your party, have everyone to raise their hands so the cashier won't interrupt your dinner and accuse you of lying or sneaking another person in. I want to start off by saying that this is my first buffet since the zombie apocalypse! I do not go to buffets only because I am on vacation and my mother asked me to. So here I am reluctantly eating at a place where a million people touch the handles of the serving utensils. They definitely make it clear to where a mask and they put hand sanitizer in the entryway before you enter. I found that I was one of very few( mainly my own party) that actually used it before going into the buffet area. I normally like to try things that I would not eat on a regular basis. So today I had the frog legs which were absolutely delicious it was quite amusing ripping the flesh from the bone and knawing on the calf muscle. The scallop mushroom dish was pretty good as well as the baked stuff black muscle that was on a clamshell. I enjoyed the green beans immensely. It was a hit and miss with some other items but it was interesting to try. They even had crab legs and oysters on the half shell which I would probably get more in a fine dining restaurant so I decided not to get them here. The salt and pepper shrimp with the shell on doesn't really do it for me because all of the seasoning is on the shell and you have to rip off the shell in order to get to the shrimp. They have a ton of fried food as well. My son went for chicken wings and french fries and chocolate chip cookies and garlic toast. I wasn't very happy with his choices because he can get that anywhere. My mom was dismayed because they did not have her egg foo young. The waitress said it's only available during the week for lunch. But I love her and she made a pig of herself like I did. I think I'm done on buffets for a very long time. I don't think I have to eat dinner tonight because I'm pretty stuffed. read more

These people never look at you not the manager at the register who also didn't say thank you when I paid him up front. The hibachi grill operator, and the servers nobody looks at you. It's almost like you're bothering them when you come into pay good money. Next, the salmon was cold in the pan, as was the pork chops. But the biggest complaint is pathetic customer service. Dang, Snellville Yelp is mean. Why in the world does Hot & Cold Buffet only have a 2 star average? Hot & Cold isn't significantly different from other Asian buffets. You can find your typical favorites here. Hot & Cold also features an interesting smorgasbord of non-Asian selections like quesadillas. I am usually pleased with the marinated steak that is available on both the lunch and dinner buffet. I also love that the dinner buffet features scallops, oysters, and other assorted seafood. I would love for them to steam the crab that they have on their dinner buffet rather than fry it. I would also love the Thai Fried Rice if it were slightly less salty. Sushi selections and grill selections are as average as any other Asian buffet and don't really need more comments than that. There's watermelon on the dessert bar, and that's always a good choice. Based on the comments of other diners, Hot & Cold may have once been a truly terrific buffet. Even if the quality has declined over the years, I still think Hot & Cold is a good buffet. They do have a large selection of food, including Asian, Mexican and even some Tex-mex cuisine. It's an absolute shame that all of it is horrible. I went there at around 6PM and almost everything I tried tasted as if it was left in a fridge for a day then reheated. Their dessert section is extremely mediocre, including choices such as cheesecake that looked like it was woefully stripped of any dignity it once had and strawberry cake that tasted more like lawn grass covered in syrup. I suppose it's a decent place if you are a quantity over quality type of person but at $12 a pop, I feel extremely compelled to recommend you to visit the many other buffets of the same type. read more

Hit or miss. Been going here for about 2 yrs. I find that if you go lunch time or dinner time on the weekends you are good. During the week after work has been bad the last 2 times. Options are ok, servers are sometimey as well. I like the create your own hibachi and the sushi bar looks nice if I ate sushi. Worth a try. I keep coming here for the food but the staff is not great with emphasis on the servers. I don't understand how servers expect big tips(and they will hover over you when you are paying the tab) but the service is poor! Poor meaning they don't check on you a lot. I love the temperature & sanitizing station at the front entrance. The food is good, however the Buffett is so small for that particular location. The restaurant is centrally located in between Snellville not far from Centerville & Stone Mountain. They are slow to replenish food compared to the number of people that patronize this place. If they expand the stations or replenish more often to keep up with the traffic it would make for a much better experience. When they first opened, I ate there pretty often and everything was always hot and fresh. They have a huge selection with some traditional American food mixed in as well. The last few times I've been, it just wasn't the same. I found the meat "rubbery" and a lot of the items seemed like they had been sitting out too long. The egg drop soup was still good and hot.
