My daughter had heard about this place and I'm a visual person so I looked up what the food looked like. I had seen some pics posted by customers and honestly the food didn't look appetizing to me but my daughter really wanted to go. I'm glad we went. The food was so good. The chicken is cooked perfectly, the batter isn't thick and both the chicken and fries are seasoned perfectly. I'm not a fan of the white bread slices. I would prefer toasted garlic bread but that's just my preference and opinion. The place is very clean which is always a must for me. It's a little small on the inside but cute. I've been wanting to try this place for a good few months and finally had the chance today. Omg it was sooo good! I got the hot tenders with fries and my boyfriend got 2 sliders, one hot and one habanero. The hot was super good and spicy and he said the habanero was hot as hell but he loved it. I picked chickie chickie and boom boom sauce. The boom boom was a little too spicy with the hot spice on the chicken but the chickie chickie was a great combo with the fries, pickles & chicken. We also shared a side of Mac and cheese. Everything was great. I usually put salt and pepper on everything but nothing needed any extra seasoning it was all fantastic. I was worried this place wouldn't live up to the hype around it... but it did! Everything was delicious and freshly made. The fried chicken is crispy yet juicy, fries are crispy and seasoned, and the Mac and cheese is creamy. The amount of food you get for the xxl loaded mac fries is a huge portion and at a great price point. The food is overall very good quality moist crispy chicken with a wide variety of sauces to pick from and every time I have gone the staff has always been friendly, down to earth and welcoming eager to help give input on everything when ordering, and the restaurant is soo clean you can tell this place has some great bosses who care about the restaurant. i love spicy foods i eat it almost everyday so i had to try this place. i got the ghost pepper sandwich with garlic parmesan sauce and a side of chickie sauce and it was for sure HOT but so delicious as well. they have a pretty good amount of sauces you can put on your sandwich or on the side. i'm not sure what's in the chick is sauce but i think it has some spice to it as well as well as some sweetness. i cannot wait to try the loaded fries with mac n cheese on top. as for the service the staff was super friendly and helpful. they also have shirts you can buy if you live a good big tee! read more

I went to Hot Chicken Run on January 10, 2025 at approximately 6 pm. When we walked in the place was empty with the exception of two guys standing in front of the place. My son had a party of 5 and I had my granddaughter and myself. My son and his party ordered at the counter , while I ordered via the kiosk. Shortly after we sat down the girl that took his order called him to tell him his order was ready. They got their order and began eating, 20 minutes passed and my order still was not processed, I ordered a # 3 and a # 4. By this time I was getting agitated because the people that I went with were almost finished with their food and still no food for my order. I went to the counter to ask about my food and the girls that were preparing the food were just there talking with each other, then one of them comes to see what I needed, and I asked about the food to which she responded that they were waiting on the chicken strips. I was so upset by this time, that I told her I just wanted my money back, $ 28.12 for the two combos. She said she need to call the manager, which was not able to help so she said she had to call the main manager. The main manager responded with "they couldn't refund me my money until they reviewed the transaction". My son went and talked to the girl and they told him they would prepare a fresh order for me if I was ok with that so my son agreed. After about a minute she called that the order was ready. The order she gave me was cold, the fries were cold, and the chicken was tough, like it had been reheated. Needless to say I will never return to Hot Chicken Run. And to top it all off, they also ask for a tip when you order on the kiosk, for what? They don't even bring the food to the table. read more

So had to try this new craze after family member mentioned this place. Brand new spot, clean and inviting. The young lady at the counter was so great. She helped me along with recommendations as a first timer. She had a great attitude, very courteous n professional. I ordered the #5 combo meal and side order of fries and also side tenders. The #5 was OK had lots of fries n lots of macaroni. Seems the chicken strips were quite small or they were very few. The meal appears huge as it's macaroni n fries loaded for sure. While The side order of fries was quite small. The taste of all the food was just OK. Nothing spectacular. As a cautionary I ordered "hot" and it was mildly hot. Not extreme by no means . All in all just OK. Maybe next time I'll venture out , be bold order hotter and perhaps something totally different. All should try it at least once read more

Fan of spicy to very hot? This is your place. I've enjoyed three meals here and enjoyed them all. Chicken tenders is what they do. Served piping hot and fresh from the fryer. The levels of spice are accurate, I've tried up to the reaper level. Unless you are a true lover of extremely spicy foods my advice is to have your first meal two to three levels down from the top. There is a range of dipping sauces to suit most palates. Some calm the heat down and some add to the fire. The sides I've had were all good. The coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and fries are excellent. The staff I interacted with were very friendly, knowledgeable, and are a real asset to the first time customer. They can and will make recommendations if you wish. This is a typical order at the counter, buss your own table establishment. In my opinion, the food and service here are better than most of the chicken tender focused places here in Corpus Christi.
