We don't have these close by back home so had to stop and get a cheese stick and a lemonade. Both hit the spot but unfortunately it took a long time to get my order. They have so many other items on the menu compared to home but I didn't try anything else but maybe next time

We ordered fish and zucchini combo! Loved it! Portions were big, deep fried perfectly. There was only one man working but he did an awesome job for an elderly man. Definitely coming back!

I totally love this place. For the longest time they were only at Windward Mall. It's out of the way for me, so I didn't eat at this place often. They finally opened another location at Pearldridge. It's still out of the way, but a little closer. There corn dogs are ok. What I really like is their fried fish platter and frozen cherry limeade. Their fried fish is one of the best. The batter is so crispy and the fish so moist. I dip it in the tartar sauce and it's just so good. I always have to get their frozen cherry limeade when I'm there. It's frozen lemonade with cherry and lime flavoring. You will get charged extra for the two extra syrups. Their customer service is outstanding. I always get the large drink. I noticed that there wasn't any flavored syrup on the bottom half of my frozen lemonade. I took it back and they added more syrup for me, which I appreciated.

Service was definitely better. Didn't go back since the last review. -Service (speed, friendliness) 4/5 one point shy because I SWEAR the lady said it was free refills so we went back but got charged again. :\ -The lime-ade was good! 3.5/5 Ordered the combo fish/zucchini -Fish (3pcs) was...missing in one piece lol over battered and super greasy. 1/5 -Fried zucchini (4 pcs) was also over battered and extremely greasy. Ended up dumping it because of the amount of grease. 2/5 portion size saved the score. -Fried oreos (5 pcs) were thick but light and fluffy. You guessed it, also an amount of excessive grease. 3.5/5 $30.49 for an order of oreos, combo plate, drink+refill. SHEESH.

Never new was at Pearlridge mall till my wife said they was. I was wanting the fish and zucchini. But I was shocked to see how many different things they have on the menu now!

My friend took me here while we were at Pearlridge Mall. She was surprised that I had never tried them before, seeing as they are popular on the mainland. The design and decor remind of the vintage diners or restaurants that you would see on TV. Very bright, and different colors which helps them stand out against other places near them. We got the classic beef corn dogs, which were okay. I liked that the pancake batter wasn't soft or mushy and had a bit of a crisp to the outside. My friend says that I have to try the fried fish and frozen lemonades, so it looks like we will be heading back soon.

I've never tried corn dogs and I was so excited to try this! It's literally a hot dog on a stick but I didn't know how it worked?? So I asked the cashier and she explained it to me. I thought the cheese options meant that there were cheese inside the hotdogs but she said no. But she recommended me something off their menu which was a hotdog with cheese. It's called "The Charlie" and it's almost $6 with tax. The cheese was more of a sauce that was spread on the corn part of the corn dogs. It was really good, though. But not worth the price. A little oily, as expected because it's deep fried. I got the beef hotdog with pepper jack cheese. Didn't disappoint. You definitely need something sweet after, though. Just to get rid of that oily feeling in your mouth. Their lemonades look good too. Hopefully I'll get to try next time.

Hot Dog on a Stick is like a carnival in your mouth lol. They have turkey, beef, and cheese on a stick, along with funnel cake sticks, French fries, fish, and zucchini! We ordered their secret menu item, the "Charlie", which is cheese on a stick (American or pepper jack) cut in half with a hot dog jammed inside! Yum! I got the beef hot dog, it was definitely on the saltier side but it was good with ketchup. They look small but are very filling, so don't be fooled! It's priced at $4.99. The French fries and funnel cake were super fresh and crispy! Loved it. The lemonade tasted a bit watered down... perhaps because they had a ton of ice in the dispenser. We wanted to try the frozen drink but they ran out and would have been a 25 minute wait. This is definitely indulgent, cheat kinda day, shouldn't really be eating, artery clogging food, but will definitely satisfy your junk cravings!

Great place for a quick snack. The employees working today were super nice and helpful. Love the theme of the restaurant, too! My daughter and I enjoyed the Cheetos flamin hot stick with chipotle aioli, and the strawberry mango lemonade. We will be back soon!!

The rudest counter person I have ever encountered-the only reason I was gonna eat this crap was because they had no line and I was in a hurry. Zero stars-but it doesn't allow that.

When at the mall we love coming here for lunch. We always ask them make the fries crispy! The fresh lemonade is really good too!

This location is consistent with its windward counterpart. We went around 4:00 about a week after opening, and the line was constant but not too crazy. We waited about 10 minutes for our food. I ordered the Charlie after reading a review here on Yelp, and my boyfriend got the hotdog on a stick with fries. I appreciated the cashiers enthusiasm when I ordered this "secret menu item." She was excited for me which fed into making me more excited to try it. The Charlie was good and everything you would expect- a cheesy corn dog. The hot dog and fries were also standard yet good. Fries were crunchy so that's a plus! Some side notes to consider are that The food is oily, so you have been forewarned! Also, I recommend eating everything soon after getting it. On a previous occasion we ate half of the French fries and funnel fries fresh and the other half about an hour after getting it; they were not good after sitting for an hour... Overall, the food here is good when eaten fresh and if you can stomach oily food!

hype has died down so now is a good time to go if you wanted to try it, lines arent crazy long. never understood that anyway since we already have one in windward mall, so not like its brand new to hawaii, just brand new to this side of the island i guess. standard corndog, or cheesedog. a couple of options: turkey, beef, 2 cheeses. or you can get the secret menu item "charlie" which is a cheese dog thats sliced open and then a meat dog stuffed inside. made fresh to order, so very crisp. dogs are on the smaller side though. not the jumbo frank type. LOTS of batter. ended up tossing about half of that away. if you eat it as soon as you get it im sure its better. i ate it when i got home, so the cheese wasnt very gooey anymore. corn batter flavor was good though. the cornmeal def comes through, so thats a plus. original lemonade was good too. like that its fresh squeezed. if i go back i'd try the other items, pickles and fish, just to see how it is. overall if you want a dog or cheese on a stick, i'd rather get the korean style ones. more combinations since they're sticked to order. the hot dog on a stick cheese is pre sticked and vacuum sealed in a plastic bag. so im sure the dogs are the same way too. dont get me wrong. theyre good. but theyre not OMG i need another one good.

It wasn't overly messy either. The fries are fresh from potatoes, so they had a lot of airy crunchy ones, which are my favorite. They don't give complimentary water, so next time I'll bring my water bottle with me since I don't drink soda. It was pricey, but so are the other burger places. I would definitely go back.

Anyways, I like this location a lot more than the Kapolei location because it's bigger and it's not white light reflecting off white light, much easier on the eyes. I took off two stars because I ordered the same grilled cheese that I did the day before, had a great experience and it was night and day this time around. The one I had in Kapolei was able to melt the cheese, but this one didn't even seem like they tried...so I asked if they could make it again. Understandably, when I asked if they could make it again, they asked what was wrong and I told them the cheese wasn't melted, which sets my expectations for the next one. They made another one (begrudgingly) and I got the same results as far as the cheese. But at least this one was warm so more heat did hit the cheese, but just not enough to melt it per my request. Other than my sad grilled cheese (that wasn't grilled) the fries were great and my friends who got actual burgers were very happy with their food.

They also looked good for value for the money as you get a lot of food! I decided on the Nothing Mayjah plate that had teriyaki beef, mac salad, two shrimp tempura, 3 pork hash, and fried noodles which covered the whole bottom of the plate. The actual plate looked very similar to the sample ones they had on a table in front the truck. The teriyaki beef slices had good flavor but were a bit dry as they were cooked ahead of time. The Mac salad had tuna and corn in it which was different. The shrimp tempura didn't seem to have well defined pieces of shrimp inside, more like batter with bits of ground up and reformed shrimp. The pork hash were great with good flavor. The noodles covered the whole bottom of the plate (no rice) and had green onions, char siu, and kamaboko. Unfortunately the noodles were bland and could have used more seasoning. I still enjoyed the plate and you can't beat the amount of food you get for the price. If a few things were improved on they would get 5 stars! I'd be happy to try other plates from them and see if the quality varies.
