Let me start by saying that this was a first for all four of us guys and we wasn't disappointed! We had this family vacation planned for a while and I wanted to have a guys day while we was on vacation. Well after looking for a few months I found Hot Sports charters on Fishing booker and decided to try them out. Very happy we did! Our captain was Evan Wheeler, this young man called the day before we went fishing to ask what I was hoping to experience/catch and to understand our group and experience levels of fishing skills. We had no salt water experience and he had took on the challenge head on. Evan was helpful and patient with us and made this experience fun and memorable. We wanted to catch whatever so Evan took us to try our luck on some speckled trout, and it was an exciting experience to say the least. We started fishing and on the first cast we had one on the hook. Total number of fish we kept was just one each although we caught more but out of conservation of the species we put the larger one (over 20 inches) back. Not an issue for us. Overall we enjoyed the fishing trip and would recommend giving Hot Sports charters a try. Plus we took what we caught that day to Shaggys restaurant right there off the docks and had them cook it for us!! Definitely a great decision.

My nephews and I went out with Capt Jason and Saywer for a 6 hour deep sea fishing cruise and we couldn't have had a better experience. They were friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We caught our limit of red snapper, a small mountain of vermillion snapper and three scamp grouper. A great time and great memories of our trip!!!

Our final catch after a few we had to release due to season

You will not have a more exciting adventure than this! I booked an 8 hour off shore trip for my 8 year old son & I and we are 'hooked!' Every trip is different based on weather etc., but this one was for the books! Jason & Cash were very knowledgeable and friendly, they made my son & I feel right at home. Jason told us what we could expect to catch but even he and Cash were surprised when we hooked a 40" Cobia, a small shark and a couple of others (I don't remember the species) you don't get often! This was our first saltwater trip and I'll warn you, if you lack stamina & upper body strength, off shore ain't for you, try the in shore trip instead because this is a full workout!

Captain Jason and his deckhand Isaiah were great. They put us on the fish. These 2 were quick to make sure that we always had bait on our hooks. We caught many fish some were keepers and some weren't. Let's say our arms were sore from reeling so many fish. They made my dad's 73rd birthday a great experience.

We had the BEST time fishing with captain Jared (coach). We usually have horrible luck with fishing trips, but he put us on fish immediately. We caught so many fish that we were TIRED of catching fish about 3 hours in! TRUST him when he takes you to his "honey holes". I would never choose another charter, or captain again after this. He makes the fishing trip so much fun. 20/10!!!

Another nice red snapper caught by my other daughter.

My family and I had a great experience with Captain Tyler and his deck hand Austin! Tyler put us on fish all day we caught our limit on red snapper. We caught fish all day! If you want to go out and catch fish? These are your guys!

We have gone on a couple of intercostal trips with Cpt. Dylan. Ever trip we catch lots of fish but more importantly we have a really good time. Most recently we were into white trout. We hit the limit for the day and it was just overall a great experience. We are planning a deep sea trip next, but only after it warms up.

I called Hot Spot Charter after checking yelp and trip advisor reviews when we were in town for just a long weekend. Even though I called last minute (Saturday afternoon) to try and book a boat for Sunday morning, they were able to accommodate us with 3 kids for a half day trip. Great communication from booking to the captain calling the night prior to be sure he had the right equipment and also to update us on weather and what to bring. Captain Tyler grew up in Pensacola, and has fished there his entire life and was excellent with my family, put in extra time with us and we caught exactly what he predicted. Thanks again and looking forward to an offshore trip with you guys next!

Went out with Captain Bob on 4/3/18 and could not have had a better time. We tried a few different places and had success in all and then went to a few places where other boats didn't and caught a ton of fish. Captain Bob was not only a good guide with great knowledge of where to go and when to leave, but also a really good person. He was easy to speak with a very laid back attitude! I would highly recommend him and will certainly look him up the next time I'm in Pensacola!!

Myself and two others went on the 5 hour trip a couple days ago and had the BEST TIME!! Jared was our Captain and kept us laughing the time. Even after the hurricane conditions we still caught 30-40 fish. Total blast. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or visiting the area. Ask for Jared!! (Coach)

    Great day fishing!

We've been on six trips over the years with Captain Tyler. We always come back with a haul of fish. Hot Spots does not disappoint.

The pier stretches about 1,471 feet out into the Gulf, and the water is so clear you can see straight down like you're looking through glass. Schools of fish cruise by, anglers line the rails pulling up mackerel and pompano, and every once in a while you'll see something bigger glide through the blue. I've seen rays, sharks, and more fish than I could count swimming right below my feet. It feels like standing above a living aquarium. The original pier here dates back to the 1930s, but the modern one was rebuilt stronger in 1998 after storms took the earlier versions. Today it draws hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, and it's easy to see why. The beach is bright white, the water is emerald green, and the whole place has that laid-back Gulf magic. Walk the boards, feel the breeze, Watch the Gulf roll with ease, Fish below and sky above, Simple place you can't help but love. For me, this pier wasn't just a stop it was the highlight of the whole trip.

We were then scolded by a very rude and inconsiderate woman Named Melinda. She screamed at us and told us to "learn how to read". I came back and tried to tell her that how she acted was inappropriate; instead of having a civil conversation, she continued to yell over me and wouldn't let me speak and called me a "sneaky teenager" all because I didn't know I had to pay to get in. Then, I brought my mother over because Melinda would not take me seriously. As soon as my mother came over, Melinda completely turned her attitude around. She lied and said she never told me to "learn how to read, and when I corrected her, she wouldn't admit it until I brought it up for the third time. Terrible customer service by Melinda, also why should I have to pay in order to go on a pier anyway?

Mary was our tour guide, and she was truly something special. I wish I remembered the captain's name because he was so kind and welcoming too, but Mary completely made the experience unforgettable. She went out of her way to connect with every single group and person on the boat, and especially the kids. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in every little interaction. My son is 3 and usually stays to himself, but Mary picked him up, let him ring the bell, and everyone cheered for him--it was such a special moment that I'll never forget. As a mom, that meant everything* to me. The whole experience was so fun and interactive--we were waving or dancing every time we passed another boat, laughing nonstop, and just genuinely enjoying every second. The vibe from start to finish was so light, happy, and comfortable. The boat itself was super nice & spacious with comfortable seating, plus you could see everything from every angle, which made it easy to catch every encounter! Pro-Tip: come prepared with your best dolphin puns and your "dolphin call" because they WILL put you to the test This was hands down one of the best experiences we've had on Pensacola Beach. We will definitely be back, and I truly can't recommend it enough!!

Our tour ended up being moved to an earlier time the day before. I did receive a couple of different text messages about the start time, which caused a little confusion on my end, but the crew communicated well and kindly waited for us before departing. The address synced perfectly with the gps to the exact departure location. Parking was free and available immediately by the dock area, but notes this will likely not be the case during peak tourist season. The tour itself was lovely. We had beautiful weather, and the crew was attentive and knowledgeable, sharing interesting history and stories about the bay throughout the ride. We saw dolphins and were able to capture plenty of videos and photos. This would be an especially beautiful tour to take in the evening to enjoy the sunset.

The captain get your money and then has the conversation with you or as he may call "instructions and rules". During this three minute tutorial he explains to you that it's his job to drive the boat. Any attempt at conversation may distract him from getting us the fish. He introduces the deck hand and basically says the same about him. Not that it matters because the captain is a typical salesman and he has already closed the deal (he has his money) he has no interest in us. The deckhand has the personality of a serial killer. They pull out poor excuses for rods and basically explain that it's idiot proof and it is. Don't cast your line just drop it over board and then real it in when something bites at the bait. We will start by catching bait fish and then move up (this never happened). The deck hand is casting away for bigger fish but we just get to watch. I saw the writing on the wall and chose not to fish at all. I spent my time (5 hours) with the preteen with autism entertaining him in the cabin (AC works very very poorly). It was a huge disappointment because the captain nor the deckhand ever tried to interact with him and make his day special. Sorry human beings if you ask me! Anyway, over the course of two hours we caught about 9 red snapper. Finally they said it was time to head in, and the two preteen boys went into the cabin with the boy with autism (who literally stayed in the cabin the entire trip), so that gave me the opportunity to enjoy the ride home as the sunset. Nope, the deckhand spent the entire time cleaning that area (all the way back) with chemicals and such as if we had just landed a freaking whale or something. I was an invited guest on this trip, and I am thankful to have been invited. The fee was paid by the guest who invited me and he covered the entire expense for all of us. Thank god he is a gentleman because had this pricey adventure been coming out of my pocket I would have been pissed! Of course the captain and his deckhand gladly accepted a tip, for what I don't know. I've been fishing offshore a couple of times, and each time we had a blast! This was a joke, a very very expensive joke. I wouldn't do it again with these guys even if it was free. After the way they ignored the kid with autism ((they had a real opportunity to make that kids year)) I wouldn't stop and help either of them if they had a flat on the side of the road. I try hard not to give 1* reviews.... but this is exactly what this crew deserves. Rude, arrogant out of touch people only concerned with themselves. I mean... you guys cater to people on vacation? You really think people hand you thousands of dollars to inhale chemicals while you clean your boat?
