I make it a point in my travels at work to drop into the brick and mortar shops to show support of what they're doing. I research everything I buy online, and it's refreshing to get an equal level of knowledge from the staff about stuff you've already looked into. I found I spent most of my time here socializing and getting to know them more than the products I was after. I went in hoping to find a specific product, and being a brick and mortar store (they can't stock everything) so I was out of luck there, but they had one of the best selections I've seen in-store for someone not sure what they want. I spent most of my time with Wally (the owner) he's laid back, cool, and very informative. I ended up spending a Benjamin ($100) in there that day and walked out with a huge stack of stuff and cool freebies, too. My favorite thing purchased that day was Wolfsbane's "Wall of Voodoo" e-juice. Stuff is amazing. He comped me a bottle of their house blend apple coffee which turned out to also be equally delicious. On a side note, the item I was looking for, he offered to order it and have it in stock in just a few days, at a very competitive price to online (They have to make a profit of course) - Experience was very positive and they have a website where you can buy e-juice without having to go to the location. Try them out, if you haven't already. Clean shop, casual atmosphere, non-pressure staff. This is what you want when vape accessory shopping. A+ in my opinion. Save your money and take your business elsewhere. The Dayton area has many shops offering the same, if not better, products with none of the false advertising this place loves to claim. I was told the product I recently bought, a Vaporesso with a Revenger Mini, wouldn't have any issues with battery life. This was obviously a complete lie. You'll be lucky to get more than an hour and a half of use before the battery dies completely. This wouldn't be a problem at most shops, as they would gladly offer a replacement, if not a full refund. The fact I was told that I specifically wouldn't encounter this problem is what makes this "business" so unprofessional. I was simply told there was nothing they could do. I understood their policy of no returns, a procedure a lot of similar stores practice, but not when it comes to faulty products, not to mention after being blatantly lied to for the sake of a sale. I know a lot of people who use these products as an alternative to smoking and I will tell them all to avoid this place at all costs. The owners and employees of Hot Vapes are unprofessional liars who would rather have 1000 first time customers than 100 returning ones. The only thing "Hot" about this place is their blatant disregard for satisfying new and existing customers alike. They won't last long. read more
