Well, our biological clocks were tuned differently and we were hungry. We were also sick of eating white bread and cheese and craving some salad and veggies. Neco is an all you can eat buffet priced at 9.99 EUR per person! The food is fresh and very good. There were several salads to choose from, roasted vegetables, roast turkey, beef, salmon, squid (awesome), paella and a crap load of desserts. The poached pears were great and I totally pigged out on the profiteroles, they were just so freakin' good. Awesome.

This can be a problem with buffets because the food sits out under warming lamps and sometimes collects bacteria. Having said that if your a buffet type of person definitely check the place out. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. There is a wide selection of foods and it is not regionally biased. You'll surely find a few things that you like. The baked chicken and roasted turkey were particular favorites. The pasta, albeit white pasta, was surprisingly very tasty. There is plenty of veggies and seafood if that's your thing. There were plenty of desserts from fruits to pastries and cakes. Surprisingly my favorite was the poached pear. This thing had a beautiful deep reddish purple color, it was sweet, a little syrupy, and not to firm or too soft- Awesome!! As is always the case with me it's important that the price is right and you get value for your dollar. This place hits the mark. I take no joy in giving bad reviews, but feel like there should be a review in English that reflects reality for people who may have had Japanese food outside of the Valencia region. I've had Japanese food all over the world, including in Japan, and can say that this was among the most disappointing Japanese dining experiences I've had. Everything was bland or worse. The sushi was a huge ball of heavy sticky rice with an artificial feeling flavor (msg gel as binder possibly) with a pitifully thin slice of mediocre fish on top. The wasabi was clearly the tube-squeezed variety. The seaweed for the handroll was chewy, tough, and tasteless. Even the ginger was bland. The Thai style soup was basically miso with coconut milk dumped in it. The hot sake was very low quality and heated in a microwave. The small bites of teriyaki were mediocre, especially the overcooked salmon. I will say the tempura was delicate (though tasteless), the Sapporo good and cold, and the prices reasonable. Bummer.
