We were not able to get accommodations and we're given a list of local hotels from across the Stuttgart area. We put out emails to our top 3, but only Hotel Bohler responded. This hotel is run by Manuel and his wife Melinda. They have an awesome staff that treated us like family from Day 1! When we arrived they had dairy-and egg-free bread for two of our boys. One of the staff members went out of her way to bake a allergy-friendly breakfast cake so they could enjoy breakfast like other guests. As for the rooms themselves, fantastic! We occupied 2 rooms, but there was a door that essentially made it a suite. The bathrooms were stellar and included full-size tubs. We had a range of channels, to include BBC and some kids channels. Wi-fi was perfect! As for the location, there is a bakery across the street and you're within a 5 minute walk to an Italian restaurant, a doner kebab place, and the Brauhaus. There are 2 parks also within a 15 minute walk depending on the length of your child's legs. We hope to stay again on our way out of Stuttgart!

The rooms are clean and each one is different which makes for a unique stay. The beds are very comfortable and amenities are very much top quality. The staff are friendly and also speak English which helps when your still learning German. They are also helpful with navigating around Böblingen and the Baden Wartenburg state. No matter if breakfast is included in your rate or not, I would recommend taking advantage of the breakfast. The mattresses and blankets on the beds were really comfortable even if they were narrow. Great water pressure in the showers and consistent hot water. The breakfast was basically the same every day but it offered enough variety that I wasn't tired of it after 6 days and the breads were actually very high quality, just as good or better as I've been getting at nice restaurants and bakeries in this region.

When we opened the door to the room we were shocked to find a large white empty room, with one king-sized bed in the corner next to the window. There was no sofa / table for lounging, there was not desk, there was no chair -- not even a telephone in the room. It looked very unpleasant, like a hospital room. There were also no towels in the bathroom. We immediately cancelled. Don't waste your money on the Dormero - there are better options nearby.

Honestly, I have never experience anything like it...and I travel a LOT! No phones in the room? Anytime I needed anything I had to leave my room, take the elevator down 16 floors, walk to the front desk and make a request. And we needed a lot! Overall the hotel is good because it's on base and easy to transition back to the states.

I had a view of the train station and that too was insulated by the windows. Comfortable bed but again, this weird half door thing for the shower that I still don't understand. The water goes on the floor and the cold air goes into the shower. Come on, Europe. Wifi worked well. European power outlets at the desk and bedside, but I had brought my adapter with me. Possibly the best breakfast I've seen at a Hampton especially considering that it is included as all breakfasts are at Hamptons. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, a variety of juices, fresh (!) breads, yogurts, sliced deli meats and cheeses. The European thing with separate pots of grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans. Staff is decent but they did not provide a sufficient discount to the breakfast for us Bonvoy Titanium elite members, until we escalated to the GM. The breakfast is 20€ per person with 10€ off for titanium elite. The offerings for breakfast are decent but for hot food only offer eggs and sausage, the same items for each day we were there. The pretzels are a nice touch but a lot of the food is missing by 8:30am, as many business employees have their breakfast here at 7:00am each morning. Fitness center is on the 6th floor.
