We took our family of four on a family vacation to Lignano recently and stayed here for the week…read more This hotel is located in the heart of the popular Lignano Sabbiadoro and beach front. Hotel: Beautiful entrance and terrace. There were lots of seating options on the terrace and a swing on the side which my daughter made use of every day. Inside was a bar/restaurant with inside/outside seating. Accommodations: Our room consisted of two bedrooms (One queen and two twins) and one bathroom. It was very minimalist but each room had a TV, AC, a ceiling fan, and decent closet space. The bathroom was tiny but modern. There was a mini fridge and small table with two chairs in the room with the queen. I sorely wished the fridge was bigger and would be my only disappointment with the room. To my surprise, the bed was very comfortable and pillows perfect. We slept well in the room and overall, we were fine with the room since we spent to little time in the room. Oh and as typical in Italy, the windows had mechanical black out shades. We ended up sleeping most of one day because it was so dark in the room! Loved those. Dining: The full-service restaurant had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our package included breakfast only, and the spread was impressive. It was a buffet of meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices. You could also order espresso, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. Simply delicious. Extras: The hotel provided beach cruisers for guests which we made use of. My daughter, son and I took a nice bike ride down the beach and back. Bike lanes on the main beach road are convenient but riding through the shopping areas can be tricky. Fee Wi-Fi was reliable in the rooms and hotel grounds. Also, the hotel provided reserved beach chairs with beach umbrellas for the week which was awesome. The umbrellas had hooks to hang your things and a little table. On one very rainy day, they also lent us umbrellas to walk around with. Very convenient. Parking: We arrived midday Sunday and parking was non-existent. The hotel offers garage parking for EUR 9 per day but it is far from the hotel. Luckily, they have you park your car in the front, and they will take it to the garage and park it. To retrieve your car, a shuttle will bring you to the garage. It was pretty seamless excess for one day when it took 45 minutes to be picked up from the hotel to go to the garage (which is a 15 minute walk). Overall, this was a fantastic stay. It would have been nice to have a pool at the hotel but with the price we paid, the value was unbeatable.
