As others noted, it's steps from the beach and central to walking about Sitges. Many of the restaurants and shops were just behind it. To the right is the castle area plus additional beaches and shops. To the left is the residential area with a few other hotels and plenty more beach space. The pool was tiny but most places in the area. It also didn't get much sun when we were there... but you're steps to the beach so not a big deal. The front desk was helpful and it was nice that they always had lemonade and smoothies free for guests. This was great on warm days. They also provide welcome cava drinks on their rooftop patio overlooking the ocean as well as vouchers for free drinks at various bars. The breakfast is also very comprehensive. Pastries, hot Spanish breakfast (assortment of seafood and stews), multiple coffee options, charcuterie, cheeses and made to order eggs. It's one of the best we've ever had. Would definitely stay here again!

The super king size bed is the most comfortable in my trip so far. Unfortunately half the building's AC system went down (2+ days so far) and the room was sweltering with 31C/88F days. New portable fans for the rooms helped a bit. Breakfast buffet is excellent and worth the extra cost. Along with English and Spanish breakfast, there is a huge variety of Continental selections.

Check-in was easy and the staff were very kind. They were bilingual and spoke English, making check-in that much easier. Since our room wasn't ready when we got in, we were able to store our luggage and wait. They even offered us complimentary beers and snacks for the inconvenience. We sat out on the large open patio and embraced the sweeping views of the city of Barcelona and Balearic Sea while we sipped our drinks. There are walking grounds to get better views of the city from the elevated hill as well as a rose garden. The grounds are kept up nicely and it makes for a nice and safe walk both day and night. We especially loved the evening views as the sun set across the city and reflected onto the waters. When we got to our room, we were impressed with the size of our suite! We paid a little extra for the city view balcony. Unfortunately, the sign for Hotel Miramar was directly in our view which was annoying, considering we paid extra. However, we didn't use the balcony nearly as much as we thought we would. Just keep in mind that your city view could very well be a view of the hotel signage. Our bed was comfortable and the amenities were plentiful. We especially enjoyed the complimentary Nespresso and tea. The tea was outstanding and I wish I had bought that brand to take home, it's local to Barcelona and could have been easily purchased. The living area was convenient to keep our luggage and other personal items. Both rooms had TVs but we didn't really use them as we were busy exploring the city from dawn to dusk. One of the biggest perks to stay with Hotel Miramar is that it is a bus stop with Bus Turistic, a touring bus company. Since we used Bus Turistic as our personal taxi to get around the city, it was super convenient to hop on and off and not have to deal with the steep incline hike to our hotel. Check-out was easy and they called us a cab to take us to the airport. Overall, it was a really nice stay, we just wished we didn't pay that extra amount for the "city view" balcony which was blocked by letters. We would absolutely come back and stay again.

When we arrived at 9 p.m.,, the front desk clerk asked if we had booked two rooms. Apparently she was surprised because the room they gave us had one full size bed, and usually was occupied by one person. The room on the rear of the building was facing an air shaft and painfully small. This is late October, & I don't know whether it is a warm spell in Barcelona but our room was uncomfortably hot. The hotel desk clerk informed us that the air conditioning in the building has been turned off for the season and nothing could be done other than opening the window onto the air shaft. Opening the window had little effect on the temperature of the room, but did allow us to enjoy the loud conversations of all the other guests . Now about the room, the bath towels were thin and few in number. The bed only had two pillows, because it usually only had one occupant. The front desk staff continued to be reliably unhelpful during our 4 day visit. When asked for a clothes iron, they intelligently delivered it sans ironing board. Any and all inquiries about local attractions or activities were met with the response, you can use the hotel computer to look it up on google. The only good thing we can say about this hotel is the breakfast is plentiful and somewhat cheap at 8 euros per person.

What I appreciated is the dream bar right at the entrance to the hall where I gave our favorite coffee drinks. The hotel has a swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas and its own garden, which is freely available to all hotel guests. For a fee, the hotel can play billiards or table tennis and volleyball. This hotel is perfect for a holiday. We are very pleased here, main hotel is a short walk from public beach.

TLDR: Come for the rooftop views of Barcelona, not so much for the stay…read more While Barceló Raval's rooftop offers one of the best panoramic views of Barcelona, the hotel itself is giving knockoff of the W. They try to give off that sexy, mysterious vibe, but as soon as you step into the room, the green ceiling, cheap fixtures and damask wallpaper give it away. The hotel is reasonably "affordable" for its location (near the Gothic Quarter and La Barceloneta), but definitely in a sketchy area. I highly advise walking outside the hotel at night, as you'll find the rough crowds your parents warned you about. The nearest metro station is about a 10-minute walk, and to get there, you have to cut through some of the sketchiest alleys. I booked through Expedia and was upgraded to a room with a view, a bottle of mini wine & an extra bottle of water. My amenities weren't so great from the moment I opened the door. Since my room was pretty high up, the room was stifling & those views were blocked by a stainless steel mesh. FYI: your room requires a key card at all times if you're trying to use electricity, which includes air conditioning. The shower initially felt luxurious--spacious with a giant waterfall head and solid water pressure--followed by lush bath towels, but that impression faded once I noticed the pockets of mold and grime in the corners. Sleeping was also a challenge since walls are thin and anytime the guests next to me entered their room, it sounded like someone was entering mine, which kept me paranoid and on high alert. Rooftop: the rooftop not only offers panoramic views of Barcelona, but also has a bar and pool, though hard to even suggest the pool is an amenity since it's more so for aesthetic than functionality. On the roof, it's not an open floor plan, so you'll have to walk around the building to get a full 360 view. For those who are height deficient such as myself: prepare for obstructed views because of the high railings (great for safety, but not so much for those under 5'3).

That means during the weekend there is no one present to take care of potential problems with the rooms. We were offered a lateral move to an identical room, which seemed like it solved their problem rather than ours. If you stay here, be prepared that maintenance issues may not be resolved quickly, and compensation for significant room problems may be limited. The location is nice, but we'd recommend clarifying their damage and compensation policy before booking. UPDATE: We were able to talk to the manager over the phone. The 'deal' that was given to us: they won't charge us for the final night if we check out a night early. That's right. Leave early and we won't charge you for services we do not provide. How thoughtful.

The location was convenient, around 15 minute walk from Plaza de Cataluña and Las Ramblas. And nearby some nice restaurants like Cu Cut and Teleferic. The two minuses were the Wi-Fi which I had to reset 6-7X per day just to get the connection to work. Also, the overactive cleaning person would just open my door w/o knocking at 9am every morning. Not great for jetlagged travelers, so make sure to deploy that 'Do Not Disturb' sign accordingly. Unlike some other reviews, I stayed on the 3rd floor and did NOT notice any funky hallway smells. Hotel Granados 83 is also highly rated on TripAdvisor and for good reason. Would recommend this spot for those staying in Barcelona.

Excellent hotel for the location…read more Found this on TripAdvisor and it was true to the reviews. Just a 5 minute walk from the Aeroplan bus from the airport at Placa de Catalunya. Very safe metropolitan area of town. Lots of places open late at night - as most restaurants don't open until way late! Perfect place for those that are uncertain about the city. Help is always there - their cozy front desk and ease of asking traveller questions. Stayed for 4 nights in one of their very historic rooms (see photo of ceiling in the room). Breakfast was spot on - hot and cold dishes plus an assortment of home made cakes, breads and preserves! Beverages and snacks throughout the day. They have an honor bar where you serve yourself a glass of wine or liquor (I had their single malt Scotch) and write down what you had and they will charge your room a very reasonable rate! They were so nice to have booked for us the bus tour and the La Sagrada Familia museum tickets. Just outside the Urquinaona metro station so it's easy to connect to many places. Perfect for couples, families and solo travelers as this place is small and takes care of every client!
