I visited on a Tuesday with our children and had mixed feelings about the experience. While walking…read morethrough the grounds, we noticed several unusual historical-style displays in the garden area, including a pillory, which sparked curiosity and questions from our kids.
Our children were excited to see the inside of the castle, so we purchased tickets (€10). Unfortunately, after entering, we were informed that access to the castle interior was only available as part of a guided tour at 3:00 PM. This was disappointing, as we did not see any clear information about restricted access or tour times at the ticket booth before purchasing tickets.
As a result, we were unable to see the castle interior during our visit, and the restaurant was also closed until 6:00 PM, which limited the overall experience for us.
We would recommend clearer communication regarding tour schedules, access limitations, and opening times so visitors can better plan their visit and know what to expect in advance. The exhibits and décor also appeared more decorative than historically authentic, which may be worth clarifying for visitors interested in historical accuracy.
