The hotel was filled with fellow cruisers waiting for our next-day departure on the Azamara Onward. Unlike other large cruise ships, which arrive at 8 and leave at 5, our ship overnighted here, so we could fly in a day early and enjoy this view hotel. The view diningroom on the 23rd floor is a must with a great charcuterie board, tasty sangria as well as other cocktails and meals. After flying night and day to get here, it was nice to have everything we needed in one place with a spacious room awaiting us. Service was excellent, and we could store our bags to explore the area before leaving for the cruise. Taxis are right out the door from the outside elevator that takes you to street level. Breakfast is expensive here and much more fun to walk down to the waterfront with restaurants galore.

Mentioned it to the front desk, not sure if housekeeping was instructed to do a better job. I know bugs are part of the tropics, but there is no reason I need to kill a bug daily. Further room is ok, no koffer maker in the room , but at the front desk you can asked for a kettle. The is a fridge and a safe in the room and that is nice. Breakfast on 1st floor has been the same the whole time I was there . No variation at all. To hotel management, I can only say do better.

The rooms are modern and lovely. The views (if you get a balcany facing the ocean) had gorgeous views over the beach. I think for a smaller room, costs are about 50 euros. But I get the feeling looking at the hotel pictures, that the standard rooms are still pretty big. We got a super large room for 100 euros. First impressions can…read morebe deceiving -- the entrance looks fairly modern and clean, but once you get past the lobby, things change quickly. The hallways and rooms are dated, with worn carpets, old fixtures, and a general need for renovation. The walls are very thin, so expect to hear your neighbors (and the cleaning staff) quite clearly. Showers are tiny and awkward, and no matter how you adjust the knob, water tends to keep dropping out. Also, not nearly enough outlets in the room -- inconvenient if you need to charge multiple devices. Breakfast isn't included for everyone and depends on how you book. When available, it's fairly basic with very limited vegetarian options. That said, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, which helped balance out some of the negatives. Unfortunately, they're also quite loud in the late mornings early afternoons while cleaning, which made it hard to sleep in or rest during the day. 15-20 minute walk from the train station mostly flat so easy to do with carry on only luggage. Although I did inform the front desk that there seemed to be no marked taxis to get to the hotel. Uber, Lyft(FreeNow).. don't seem to run throughout Italy in the regular. I was able to order a taxi to head back to the airport upon checking in and triple checked every time I passed the front desk. Overall, it's an okay place if you're not too picky and just need a place to crash -- but definitely could use some attention and modernization.
