Stayed one night: Saturday, July 21, 15. PROS + I really can't think of any... CONS - Toilet seat wasn't screwed on - Paid for a double room, got two single beds stuck together - No working AC - The odour from the washroom and water from the shower left a mouldy smell in the room (close the washroom door before you leave)! - Service staff have little to no working knowledge of English. If you're operating a hotel in a tourist city, hire some legitimate English speaking staff. The customers that come to the hotel can barely speak a lick of English let alone Italian. If your front end staff can't address your consumer's quiries, they're going to go elsewhere with their business in due time. What the heck! No community kettle, microwave OR coffee maker (I asked the front desk)?! I just wanted hot water for my instant noodles (for the record, neither the shower or the washroom tap had hot water...it was lukewarm). Italy is a country that is raised off of espresso. That is really shit customer service if you ask me. Save yourself the trouble and DON'T BOOK FROM ANY OF THEIR SISTER HOTELS. Stick with the hotel chains that you know and love. This is a terrible place. Things are broken and cheap. He people who run it are so rude and disrespectful. It was booked by my travel agent. She is going to get an earful from me. I believe this hotel is now called Smooth hotel Rome republica. The staff is rude. And they canceled our reservation and didn't notify us. We flew in from the state just to get here and not have a reservation! After flying for 18+ hours this was the absolute worst news. The staff was not willing to help us out whatsoever and was trying to charge us two times the rate we booked it at at their "sister hotel". If I could I would give this place a ZERO read more
