We were able to check in early as the friendly concierge was able to give us a call right after our room was ready, and even had our luggage moved to the room before we got to our room. The hotel staff also delivered newspapers to us in the morning as well as had a wonderful shoe shine service. Turn-down service is something you have to request every evening, but even then, it is worth the phone call just to replenish the coffee and tea in the room and get some water. Speaking of coffee and tea, they don't have a coffee maker in the room, instead using a kettle to make both tea and instant coffee. Also missing was an iPod dock, which is an interesting oversight since I would rather listen to some good music than watch foreign language television in the room! The bar downstairs is very trendy with some really good and well-priced snack and menu options. I loved the garlic fries after spending an entire day walking in the old city and drinking the alt beer. Checkout was plain and efficient. You get what you pay, and the stay was memorable.

House keeping did a great job when cleaning the room while I was gone (ignore the messy bed I left in the picture.) being able to control the lights and shades from the bed made things super convenient. The bathroom was immaculate and beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better pace to stay for my first time in Germany. Even the location was perfect. Internet was very good in the rooms and really bad / nonexistent in the breakfast area (which can be good or bad depending on how you spend your breakfast). The breakfast was amazing, as you can see from my splurge on breakfast photos. Everything very fresh and not many people between 7:30 and 8:30. The rooms are smallish, but there was a comfortable working area (a real desk with a real chair), which made me more forgiving towards the 90cm bed. All in all good value for your money on a business trip.

They have an okay selection of cereals, bread, fruit, and drinks. Nothing too fancy, but enough to get you ready for a day around the city. The heater worked well, I liked the big windows in our room on the 5th floor, and the soft and firm pillows were nice. The shower also has good pressure. They let us check in early, which was nice. They will also watch your bags if you arrive earlier than they can provide a room for. I will say that the walls seemed a little thin. Especially when around 8 PM on New Year's Eve the room next to us started their loud music up. Nothing like hearing loud, drunken, singing? like it's inside of your room. However, that was the only issue over the 2 nights we were there. I would stay here again.

No butter; it is only margarine.

Nice big pool and a great location for the big packaging trade show. The bad.....crappy gym with old equipment, closet sized workout room. No sundry store. Twin beds for me and my buddy, touching each other, like a king sized bed. "dude, where are your hands?" "between two pillows". "those are not pillows!". Feel free to turn on the air conditioning folks....I know it's not summer yet, bet it's really stuffy in here. The ugly...500 euro per night during the show, 200 euro after that. ...OOoofa!
