I was given my room number and access code via email and you don't need to check out. Quite weird but I guess it cuts cost. It's cheap... I'll give it that. You can tell they are cutting every possible cost to make it cheap. Parking is free, it's about a 20 minute walk to old town, the rooms are fairly clean and there is AC. Other than that definitely not much to write home about. Rooms are very small, the staff (if you interact with them at all) aren't very welcoming, breakfast isn't included and if you want a hair dryer you have to go to the front desk and borrow one for a 10 euro deposit. Internet is free but you need a working mobile number for it to send a text to in order to use it. Probably wouldn't stay here again but it worked for what I needed it for (sleeping).

Stayed here when we traveled to Germany and though the building is quite old, the room was somewhat…read moremodernized as well as the lobby and breakfast area. It is one of the few buildings that actually has a/c in it as well as an underground parking garage if you need those items. We were in a room on the alley side away from the cathedral so bell chimes were not heard. It also has a nice Bavarian style restaurant on the premises. The smokiness of wood fired grills also made a nice touch.

This business had had a bad start. Some 12 months ago it was driven into Chapter 11 by the previous…read morehost. It was a bad place, run down, not clean and terribly hosted. About 8 months ago there was a new host (same beer and brewery, though). He tore down the place (virtually) and made everything new and fresh. The kitchen, restaurant, guest rooms were all refurbished and made "noice" (if you can hear the click!) Their menu is genuine Bavarian and the chef lives up to that standard. You want the best Bavarian dumplings? Search no more. My friends and I were searching for the best throughout Bavaria. You get them HERE. (period) Great pork roast (Schweinerns), you get it here. Authentic potato soup? Yep. Here. Apple Strudel? Yep. Here. And you'd want to kill your Bavarian grandma after tasting them. Poor grandma, she was trying her best... They're catering for international taste buds, too. Just ask. The hotel is down to earth and very cozy. I'm always rating a cost/experience ratio. And this is 5/5.
