Although clean and tidy, the decor looks like its come straight from 1989 but this is pretty standard for most Alpine hotels. It drops the 5th star for 2 reasons; the rooms can get quite cold as the windows are fairly draughty, and its quite far from the ski lift (though it does operate a free transfer service to compensate). It is well located for the nightlife though, and the breakfast selection is pretty good.

Very nice apartment building in Val Thorens, much smaller than many others which gives it an…read moreintimate feel. The owners speak Dutch and as a result, many of the guests are Dutch. Smack in the middle of town, two time stumbling away from all the major apres ski joints. They have apartments in all sorts and sizes. We were in a 4 bedroom one. Officially it's a ten guests apartment, bit that would mean that 2 sleep on the couch beds in the living room. I would advise against that. All the rooms have thier own bathroom, there is a large living room with a fully equipped modern kitchen and a large flat screen television. Also the balcony is very spacious. The apartment complex has a bar, and a sauna/Turkish steam bath which opens from 16:00 and 12:00 if the whether is bad. Unfortunately somebody slipped in the sauna and ruined the glass door early in the week, closing the sauna for the rest of the week. The ski-room is also perfectly located at the piste, so you can practically ski-in and ski-out. They should only have a few more keys for the locker available per apartment. Also there is a service to have bread delivered to the apartment every morning at 8. There are basically only 2 downsides to the apartment. One is the proximity to the apres ski bars and it position en route to other apartments causes a lot of noise until 4 in the morning. Drunk people coming from the Malaysia will perhaps wake you up when you enjoy your well deserved rest. The other is the fact that they make you pay if you want to use the Wifi in the apartment for every single laptop and device that you use. That's something that should be included these days. All in all a fantastic apartment that I could recommend to anyone going in ski holiday in Val Thorens.

Clean, comfortable, spacious and with a sauna, steam room and swimming pool as well as underground parking. I'll definitely be seeking out more CGH apartments in future!

The dinner was usually good but if you don't speak any Italian I recommend you to bring your phone with Google Translate to be able to order properly. Even though we didn't understand each other all the time, the charming staff at Hotel Sciatori made us feel so welcome and did their best to help us out in all different situations. The rooms are clean and you can either walk (5 minutes) or get a ride to the lifts from the hotel. This is a perfect ski-hotel.

this is a five star hotel. although some times you are not sure, because some of the prints are…read morewith 4, some are with 5 stars. i guess the hotel is not sure itself. the prices are five star. tje rooms and location is really good, the view from the deluxe rooms nice. the breakfast offers everything you need despite some complaints of other customers. julien, our personal help did a really good job. generally, the staff is very young and accordingly inexperienced, which is not ok for a five star hotel. they try, but often dont succeed. the reception staff didnt get our name right fir three days. they react to questions as uf it was a threat to them and they would struggle to find the answer anyway. however, they solve the issues, but are just inexperienced. the waiters try, but make many small mistakes that you wont notice unless you have give star expectations: example; dinner served to quickly, before wine is opened and aperitif is consumed, clear your plates too early, dont read your wishes, dont have bill prepared, ask even though you are still studying the menu. wellness area is nice but misses the details like quite rooms, atmosphere. all in all a good hotel that tries but doesnt quite succeed and still asks the price. three stars.

I only thought to visit the place on my 6th trip to Sauze d'Oulx and I realised I'd been missing out the whole time! They have a pizza + beer lunchtime deal for 10€ which is really good value, especially because you'd pay that for just the pizza in most other parts of the world, and the pizza wouldn't be as good as what you get here. You also get smiley friendly faces and don't have to ski all the way down to the resort to get there so it's ideal for lunch, and worth making a trip to here from any of the other via Lattea resorts too :)
