For the price of two nights (always a late night flight to the US) it's nice to not worry and have some extra time to shower, etc., it's worth it! There isn't much around to be able to walk to, however there is shopping and some restaurants nearby that are very easy via uber!

We asked one night for a dinner recommendation in Jardins, and the front desk staff suggested a venue that was only open for special events (fail!). The biggest down side is that it's located immediately next to a bus & train station. This yielded some beggers while you waited for the taxi and made me a little uncomfortable. There's a side street with lots of street food shops that had fair tasting food, but again, there were many beggers. My colleague from Rio said he went for a walk down that road in the evening to get some fresh air and even he did not feel comfortable walking around the hotel. The hotel also does not sell bottled water. They provide a small bottle with house keeping, but I drink a lot of water and it was not nearly enough. I feel this would be an easy way to make a bit of money for the hotel, but alas you'll need to walk to a shop for bottled water. Wifi was slow but steady. The water pressure was good, with lots of hot water. The bed is quite hard, but it was sleepable.

The front desk was friendly, but slow. It is a 10 min walk through the back of the hotel via shopping center to reach Expo Center. The location is convenient, but other than the mall and Expo Center, there is nothing close by. If you walk a few minutes from the hotel the area gets a lot sketchers. Everyone recommends taking Uber everywhere. The good points: crazy good shower with excellent pressure and spacious stall. Bathroom products are nice, but no lotion. The bad points: poor toilet flush, no English channels on the TV and beds are creaky.

I was stuck…read moreat airport in São Paulo when my connecting flight was canceled, there were no available flights to my next destination until 2 days later, I didn't have a visa to go into Brazil, and visas could not be processed in less than 10 days. This hotel being inside the airport gave me somewhere comfortable to stay (on the dime of the airline of course lol) over the 2 nights of my misfortune. The stay included 3 meals and access to their outdoor garden. It was clean and staff were incredibly helpful. I'll be honest and admit that it doesn't have bells and whistles and my first room without the workout equipment was really small and quite sad so I seriously recommend asking to be given a "Fitness Room" because they are bigger, brighter (wall to wall windows vs the tiny window in the smaller room), and of course you have something to work out with because there is no gym. That being said, I recommend staying here and would do it again. The convenience, staff help, and cleanliness makes it a worthwhile experience.

Nice concept but the execution was lacking. The a/c in our room made a noisy whir all night long. Tryp advertises 'exercise rooms,' but they are simply guest rooms that include a stationary bike. There is no gym where you can work out before your flight. And despite being in Brazil -- a lovely country with lovely people -- the staff were the most dour group of people. This was a smile free zone. The foto shows the 'garden.' It mainly serves as a smoking and beer drinking area. I decided to do some stretching in the garden but it smelled like giant ash tray. On the plus side, the breakfast buffet is included in the price and is bountiful if not wonderful.
