The original building dates back to 1752. We happened to be staying at this Hotel when they were having a large business event in the Cloisters with traditional Gallic music. We very much enjoyed our short stay and town of Oviedo.

The employees were very friendly and hospitable and the location was perfect. Las Caldas is located in a remote part of Oviedo (I though I knew Oviedo, I was way wrong) and it is a hotel/resort with all the amenities you can ever think of. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and expect Spanish relaxed culture to come with it. As part of the wedding deal I had a hot rock massage that I was told I "need to take or else," and it was quite the experience. Basically put on a tiny jockstrap like piece of cloth, get oils massaged into just about inch of your body not covered, the hot rocks get applied, more massaging, you try your best to get off all the oil in a shower, then sit and relax and drink some special mineral water. Quite the experience. The breakfast spread is one of the best I have every experienced and the grounds are picture perfect.
