We were amazed at first until things unfolded. The sink was defiantly plugged up. Things just seemed to be a bit dirty for a quality hotel like the shower curtain. The bed was decent. We paid 15Euro a person for breakfast so we were ready for something great. When we got down there, we seen what we were up for. It was a self serve continental breakfast with horrible coffee. It was food you would expect at a 2 star hotel. So 30 Euro's gone on a horrible breakfast. But for a quick stay, this place is ok to stop in at, just don't pay for the breakfast!

Check-in was effortless and the staff throughout were an absolute pleasure. The lobby is clean and has a nice sized lounge area. The room was nice but the bed had a lot to be desired. The pillows, too. King beds should have king pillows but stacking enough pillows up I made due. Also, as American living in Europe for just 7 months so far, I know that air conditioning is scarce in most places though I've found it available in hotels. Arriving right after Easter, the A/C in the rooms and the hotel wasn't turned on yet. I was provided a fan that seems like it's had better days. On my last 3 days, the A/C was switched on and sleeping was so much better! Breakfast was included but was nothing to celebrate. Fruits, cereals, yogurt, and sliced meats and cheeses. It's free so I'm grateful but you won't be satiated. Lastly, my trip was extended by a few days and I needed to do a bit of laundry. The hotel doesn't have laundry machines but do offer a service albeit expensive. Pros: excellent staff, free breakfast, nice room, good location Cons: A/C may or may not be on, paltry breakfast, no laundry on site. I'd totally stay again for points but if I wanted luxury I'd find somewhere else.

The pool was advertised as being open; however, it was not as it is outdoors. There is a restaurant and bar on-site, but double-check hours. A mall is right next door to this hotel, so even if you miss those two, there are options in the mall. There are also places across the street. If you are in the bigger rooms, finding your room will get tricky. The area around the hotel gets busy and loud due to the main road being at the front of the hotel, so if your room faces the front, be prepared for road noise in the mornings.

We pulled up in front of the hotel and went in to check-in, the process was very quick and easy as the front desk clerk found my reservation, checked me in and had the Bellman go to the car to get my luggage. The gentleman checking us in was joined by the executive secretary of the hotel, they gave us maps and information of the surrounding area, things that visitors must see and options for transportation. Our room was fantastic, larger than I expected in a European hotel, very clean and equipped with all the amenities. We unpacked a few things from our bags and there was a knock at the door, the gentleman from room service said the front desk had sent us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. We were very excited to get out and explore Venice, however the chilled bottle of Prosecco was calling our name so we had a few glasses before going to the restaurant. Our meal was one of the best we had in Italy and the service was impeccable, Five-Star. (They do offer Gluten Free Pasta and Bread) The hotel van took us to the train station, the very kind lady and gentleman at the front desks information made it easy for us to catch the train to the water taxi and within the hour we were in very romantic city of Venice. I booked a room for 2 weeks through booking.com in Nov/Dec 19 newly arriving to the base. Upon arrival I notified the staff AGAIN that I was traveling with a cat. The man who checked me in to my reserved single room came to see her, talked to me about her and asked how she did flying. The next day I was told they could give me a great rate on a double room, I accepted and after work, I moved into the 2nd room. Within one hour of moving, the desk clerk asked to speak with me in private and said "I'm sorry, you're going to have to move rooms" I said I already had. She said "No, move again, right now" I'm like seriously? WHY? "You never told us you had a pet and the room you're in now does not allow pets" I corrected her saying "I didn't fly 30 hours across the world with a cat to NOT tell you I had a pet, of course it was listed on the reservation with booking.com AND you were notified when I checked in." They moved me to an AWFUL room where the "desk" was 4"x 12" with a lawn chair and a fridge in between your legs. The bathroom was so small you couldn't turn around in the shower and there was NOWHERE to put any toiletries in the room (I finally placed a magazine over the top of the bidet and used it as a shelf!!). It gets worse. When I complained to management the next day (they had me move at 7pm the night before!!), she was waiting with guns drawn that morning to rip my head off. She screamed (in front of other guests) that I NEVER told them about my pet and it wasn't their fault I wasn't truthful. After 10 minutes of raising my voice, I packed my things and checked out. They added pet cleaning fees (never explained to me at check in), tax, breakfast charges, city taxes and a load of other crap onto my bill upon my departure. A 74Euro room cost me over $300 for 2 nights by the time it was said and done. Again, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I moved to Ederle Inn on base and got a 2 room suite with a kitchen for $100/night!!
