There was an assortment of breads and rolls which were all fresh. The spread of egg salad, cheeses, meats, vegetables, and so on was amazing. There was plenty to choose from, and I was particularly pleased with the twarozek! Additionally, there were cereals, waffles, fruit, and hot items including sausage and eggs. I honestly looked forward with anticipation to my breakfast each day. I don't even eat this well at home. Aside from the breakfast, there are plenty of other positives to this hotel. One is the location. As a solo traveler using public transportation most of the time, I need a places that is easily accessible. The location of Fenix couldn't have been better for me. It was a 2 minute walk from the main train station, and there is a bus stop across the street for easy access to other parts of the city (including Ciepliskie if you're planning to go to the thermal baths there). Also, you're right on 1-ego Maja, so when weather permits, it's an easy walk to the main strip of shops and tourist stops on your way to the main square. The hotel is on the older side, but that doesn't mean they compromise on quality. Everything was very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. I felt safe at this location... and even with the proximity to the train station there was nearly no noise.

Truly one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in recent memory…read more Contrary to the modern and clean rooms advertised online and in the hotel lobby the rooms seem to have last been updated in the 1930s with decor that gave my elderly mother in law flashbacks of her early childhood. The internet is so impressively awful it might as well not have been installed, I have experienced a more reliable connection in the heart of the amazon rainforest. It makes no sense at all that it should be so abysmal here. We were absolutely appalled when the housekeeper walked into our room while we were barely dressed and woke us up from our sleep to babble something in polish standing in the middle of our room as if we'd invited her in. She would not leave despite our obvious displeasure with the bold intrusion. We were shocked that a human being could be so blatantly rude. The only bearable part of our stay was the lack of polish guests being mostly comprised of Germans. You might think "surely the beautiful restaurant is worth the visit?" you would be wrong. we made a small order that included a Prosciutto pizza which when delivered did not include any prosciutto! As well as several other toppings. As the only customers at the time we were confused how an order could be so badly handled. Overall if you're expecting a pleasant stay look somewhere else something is very strange about this location.

Loving my stay here staff are really helpful even with my nonexistent polish lovely setting, clean…read morerooms. Bar and restaurant are basic mmm but good quality. Breakfast was great lots of choice. Would avoid the spaghetti Thai dish but I think it was just a fusion to far. The burger was amazing. Easy walk into town (not so much back as up hill.) If I'm in the area again will not hesitate to return.

The main part of a hotel is comfort and this hotel lacks the comfort of sleep and quiet. Its VERY affordable for the size of the room, but what you pay for is no sleep. :( We had a very very large and spacious room which wow'd us from the beginning. A huge open living room area with couch, dinner table, large balcony, carpet, tv, etc, and then a completely separate huge bedroom with double bed and a large seperate bathroom but no shower. Its a tub only. My dogs loved this place. Plenty of space to romp and play. However, at night, the neighbors above us moved in. I heard kids screaming and playing above our room. I tried to sleep many times but they were slamming doors closed and jumping wildly. After 1 hour, I had to go downstairs and tell the front desk. The two new agents, that looked like friends talking and not professional, just nodded their head "ok." I continued to hear the kids for another 20 minutes after Midnight. It was a long night and we only stayed for the one night. The food and wine was excellent and waitstaff in dining area was great. No complaints there - just wish it had better beds, a better shower with safety holders to get in-out. But, if you want a castle/princess experience - the room is perfect and beautiful landing. Huge and pet friendly.
