So we called at 21:00 and they asked me to call back the next day because it was already late. That's what I did. Off course we didn't get a confirmation by mail email. The day we arrived the lady couldn't find back our reservation. But they still had a room. It was all OK. But very basic. Clean and everything you need. A real village hotel. The furniture was old fashion. At the point that it starts to be cool. But the owners are not :) Very friendly staff. The breakfast was OK, a typical german buffet style. But the coffee is undrinkable. It was 90 euros a night for a 2 persons bedroom. I think it is pricy for a village hotel where everything is kinda old. A good option if you have wedding there :)

Room was clean and nice. There's no housekeeping unless you call and request it. Breakfast every morning has been good with a variety of selections with pleasant staff. Lobby area is cute with a relaxing fake fireplace. Would recommend this hotel.

German hotels are extremely clean compared to American standards (most of Germany.) I swear there was someone cleaning every area at all times it seemed! we used this as our central hub visiting Veltkins Arena to see the third night of the Taylor Swift concert in July 2024. I really enjoyed the late night pizzas. I'm a vegetarian so we had the leek pizza. Fab! Look forward to more sightseeing & relaxing around the See. Delicious filling free breakfast buffet included daily.

Is was long ago I had to pay for an only 24h valid internet voucher. That if you want use requires to stay awake the full night. Unfortunately the rooms are not to inviting to stay awake the night. Outdated is the general stile indication. Price quality wise it is even in a worse condition. Being a meeting guest at the hotel I unfortunately am paying a way to high price in comparison to almost all other hotels I stayed in Germany. Even the bar in the basement has the warm ambiance of exactly that what it is a basement. Crapy music and a service with a smile. I should if have known that the hotel had it's quarks, when I booked per phone. My German is not bad, but I really thought I dialed an east European number. Literally had to ask if this was a German number I called. Would this be a hotel to stay in next time?... Answer found even faster then Google would search the web. No! Rather take my changes in Dortmund traffic jams and enjoy a different hotel.

I was passing through on a train trip and stayed the day/night on a rainy miserable day in Dortmund. I was pleasantly surprised by the basement hotel bar. Good food. Good wait staff. Friendly. Nice environment. Very good breakfast in the morning. We got a taxi in like 5 minutes after checkout. Not sure of the location relative to things to do because I never left the hotel.
