I was just OVERWHELMED by the great, careful service, the variety of sport, leisure and wellness facilities, several restaurants in different styles - all serving delicious dishes and drinks, as well as the scenic views around. Especially impressing is the breakfast buffet - at no wedding have I seen so much miscellaneous, beautifully served food at once :) I haven't paid for the stay so I can't say how expensive it really was, but judging by the age average of the guests, you have to have worked for some years to be able to afford it :)

Me and the wife have been to Titisee several times and it is one of our favorite Black Forest…read moretowns. We had never stayed at the Am Sonneneck before but did for one night on our recent trip. The room was quite nice and clean and had a large bathroom. After dark we found that the bathroom was too dark as the overhead light fixture bulb was burned out as was one of the two bulbs in the fixture over the bathroom mirror. I went down to the reception desk and the young lady on duty grabbed a lightbulb and proceeded to our room and attempted to replace the burned out ceiling fixture bulb but she was unable to do it. She excused herself and came back a few minutes later with a male who also tried his hand at replacing the bulb. He told the female clerk that the bulb base was too big in diameter to screw into the overhead fixture. He spoke very limited English and we thought maybe he was going to come back with another bulb but never did. Both he and the young lady clerk left with no further remedy for us which we thought was very poor customer service, especially what we are used to finding in Germany. I finally went out into the hallway and removed a bulb from a floor lamp, went back and put it into the overhead bathroom fixture and that took care of the problem. Very poor customer service.
