We recently came to St. Christoph for our easter holiday in order to enjoy the wonderful slopes of…read morethe Austrian alps. First of all, let me say the best thing about this hotel was their Blue Spa. As the kids say these days - amazeballs. There are 3 saunas - dry, wet, and a random grotto. The grotto can only sit 4 people so careful who you go in with (everyone is naked). Your hotel price comes with dinner and breakfast daily. The dinner is a pretty formal 4 course meal - all pretty good. The waitresses are all very personable and wear their traditional dresses. They also save your wine for you if you do not finish the bottle. For purposes of skiing/snowboarding, the hotel is on top of a hill that allows you to directly ski to the gondola. This may seem like an awesome location until you have to walk/ski your way back up the hill which is quite a pain in the ass. I almost died of exhaustion "skiing" up the hill. that being said, the views were absolutely amazing. Check the weather before you come though because it was blizzarding for over 24 hours starting the end of our 1st day. Quite difficult to see whether you're skiing to your death. My only critique is that the staff could be a bit more helpful on making suggestions to tourists who come to ski on the best places to rent and places to eat and sight see and where to get lift tickets/hours, etc. It just seemed like we had to figure out most things on our own which was ok since most people spoke english but unnecessary work! that's what the concierge is for..but it is a minor point compared to what a great ski holiday you can have here.

I think we paid about $100 for the night in July and that included a great breakfast. I would stay here again if I've ever back in town. Great place.

Skihotel Galzig is a modern, well-designed hotel with an excellent location at the base of…read moreGalzigbahn. The rooms are gigantic, even by US standards with plenty of storage space and even a real rubbish bin (not those ridiculous stainless steal miniature bins with the foot-opening-pedal-thingy). The only downer is the shower design. The shower head is a handheld shower and does not stay tilted downward which makes showering impossible. In other words, it's not really a shower and you have to set the handheld sprayer on the bath floor in-between shampooing and the rest. Breakfast is served on the main floor, just outside reception in an open and airy room. The hotel was fully booked during our stay and we went to breakfast at peak times and it was never packed which was nice. The selection was great and included items such as scrambled eggs (not made with cream which was great!), bacon (crispy bacon, not the crap they call bacon in the UK), bread, yogurts, meats, and cheeses. One note to make is that reception (who are wonderful, by the way), can load your keycard with your ski pass but they cannot load half-day passes. Galzigbahn station is just a few steps away from the backdoor of the hotel which makes carting your equipment back and forth a breeze. Another thing to note is that there is a stationary bike, treadmill, and sun bed in the basement of the hotel along with a massage room, steam room, and sauna. And yet another note to make is that they do sell a small selection of wines, beers, juices, and fizzy drinks throughout the day in their lounge. Check the menu on the coffee table for prices and order from reception. A big thank you to Emily at reception who kindly asked us if we had dinner reservations for Christmas Eve and then provided a list of restaurants who still had openings. Christmas Eve in Austria is highly celebrated and we are so thankful that Emily reminded us that we should make dinner reservations.

The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious and they offer incredible apres ski snacks. We did not use the spa but friends said it was great. Recently returned from a phenomenal Honeymoon in Austria. We decided to go somewhere cold(er) for…read moreour honeymoon and we decided St. Anton. After what it seemed like weeks looking for the perfect hotel there was a choice between the Rundeck and M3. I am so happy that we decided on the M3 Hotel. See, I am a type of person that will pay for quality and this place did not disappoint us. We arrived via train from Innsbruck and of course started our adventure taking the 'scenic route' to the hotel (we missed the little passageway to cut through) - as if a whole day of flying isn't bad enough :o). We walked in were greeted by Ramona and Lisa. These were the ladies that communicated with me via email for the past few months to ensure we had everything and to answer any questions that I had. It was great to put a face to a name. I thanked them as they were so kind to send us packets to help us get around St. Anton prior to us arriving. We then checked in and were given a tour of our room. The rooms - were modern, sleek, and was everything I expected. I was loving that we had a street view. I love people watching with a espresso so this was perfect. The double room was quite spacious and was practical. I have lots of treasures that I bring with me on some vacations and all of my treasures had a proper place. The infrared sauna was a nice touch and overall the amenities were great. There is a complimentary breakfast that was more than enough to suit all types of appetites. If you have a picky eater in your family well, you won't hear a peep out of them as there are a variety of foods including yogurts, fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, ...and eggs/omelettes made to order. Every afternoon they have snacks so we made our way up for a couple of snacks but found ourselves drinking more coffee and taking in the view. Tried the restaurant La Hazienda and the food was exceptional. I hear its the best restaurant in town so there's nothing like walking downstairs to get a bite to eat and just have to walk right back up and return to your room. We ended up meeting the owners and they are true gentleman and truly want their customers to have a great experience. I'm the chatty type so they didn't mind giving me an Austria Wine 101 class on one of the nights and explaining the history of the place and their background. Like I said the La Hazienda is the place to go! We had a blast at St. Anton and M3 was a major part of that. They are on the main strip, centrally located, and it works out perfectly You can get your lift tickets from the front desk and get your board/skis and boots from the Jennewein (complementary) and you're off on the slopes. I can't say enough good things about this hotel but as another review mentioned - you certainly get what you pay for!! Loved it, will be back, and next time I'm bringing some super stoked family members. Thank you M3 for everything! Oh, drop by the bakery shop right across the street - you'll love it!
