My stay at this hotel went very well. The property is located right across the street from Frankfurt Main Train Station, so if your goal is to stay next to the station, this hotel is a perfect option. But honestly, the tricky part is the neighborhood - the area around the station is not very safe, quite dirty (I'd even call it trashy), and full of questionable-looking people, including homeless, alcoholics, and drug users. At night you should be especially careful walking around.
The hotel is inside a historic building that looks nice both outside and inside. The lobby is huge and beautifully decorated; I even enjoyed just sitting on the sofa there, playing on my phone and relaxing with the vibes.
My check-in was fast and easy. The front desk staff were always nice and friendly.
I booked a Single Room, and I liked the one I got. The room (#367) was not very big, but I felt comfortable in it, and I liked its corner location. The room's design was simple but pleasant, and all the furniture was in very good condition. The room was almost spotless; I noticed only a few marks and scratches on the walls. There was a big window that let in lots of natural daylight, and I could open it for fresh air. Since my room faced the back courtyard, it was very quiet. Another plus: the room had two doors (an extra one inside), which made it even quieter - something I personally loved. The single bed was tiny, but the mattress was super comfortable and the pillows were soft. The TV was small and outdated; it would be nice if they replaced it with a bigger, modern one. I appreciated having a refrigerator in the room, and even better, all minibar drinks were free of charge - inside there were two bottles of water, two cans of soda, a couple of beers, and a bottle of juice. The closet was small, but the luggage bench next to it was very handy for my carry-on bag. Overall, the bathroom was very basic, outdated, and felt cheap; plus, it was very tiny. The shower stall was small, and the shower leaked water onto the floor each time I used it. I also disliked the old built-in hairdryer - it barely worked and had turned yellow with age. On the positive side, the bathroom amenities were of nice quality and smelled good. The Wi-Fi in my room worked fast.
For my stay, I paid €68 per night, which I found reasonable for the overall hotel quality and the comfort of my room.
If I return to Frankfurt in the future, I'd be open to staying here again. I can recommend this hotel, and specifically room #367 if you're a solo traveler. Just be aware of the trashy and not very safe location - particularly if you're a single female traveler! read more
