They have a really good gym on the top floor and an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the ocean. You can also schedule a massage on the top floor as well. The hotel is located right in the center and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. Guacamole is pretty much right outside of the door as well as a lot of other restaurants. Toca de Jurere is pretty close as well if you want some awesome seafood. All of the receptionists speak english so you won't have any problems communicating with them. Prices can fluctuate depending on the time of the year so if they are on the cheaper/affordable side, I strongly suggest staying here.

It's about a 40 min drive from Florianopolis airport. The place is spectacular and you sometimes feel like you are the only people there. The hotel has 25 bungalows and is pretty much for couples only (no kids allowed). The rates include a great tasting menu breakfast (totally new each day). The restaurant for lunch & dinner (not incl) is superb and the light bites you can order at the beach are terrific (don't miss the bolinhos de bacalhau). The prices of things once the hotel are reasonable whether it's meals, massages, etc. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. I missed the breakfast buffet, but my friend said it was good. Service was excellent, as the front desk staff spoke great English and was very helpful in giving us directions and information about Florianopolis. I don't think I'd stay in downtown again, but this hotel definitely met our needs. I just wish it had a pool!
