The Rooms are awesome, they are huge and there is even a possibility for making yourself a bit of coffee (in the morning after you just got eyes) Finding the Hotel may be a bit tricky, however - if you look a bit closer, there is no problem in getting where to look. The area for the Hotel is close to the citycenter, and therefore you have cafees a lot of places, together with shopping options also, and there are also Bars around, to get a bit to drink.

Room was very spacious and had everything I needed, plenty of parking, breakfast is adequate, and most important of all... the owners are absolutely wonderful human beings! If you have a car, and are attending the Hanover fair... It is about 12 minutes to the south entrance - where you can park in the "forest lot". If I ever make it back to Hanover Germany, I will try and stay here again!

It was a huge. Comfortable beds and lots of seating in the LR. TV was Netflix enabled. Breakfast is not like what you find in some hotels in Europe but ample. Typical fair - cold cuts, cheeses, fresh breads, yogurt and cereal. Secret tip - they make eggs to order but you have to ask. Great choice for Hannover Fair. Only took us about 1 hour 20 minutes on a busy traffic day.

I have been traveling to the Hanover area for years. This is by far my favorite hotel of any star…read morerating. The hotel is owned and operated by the same family. Once you stay here you are always remembered and welcomed back as if you were a member of the family. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The amenities are available to guests at all hours. For special considerations all you need to do is ask. I have travelled the world on business for 40 years and never felt at home to the same extent as at this establishment.

But, beyond all this, it was the two wonderful hostesses that made this a visit to remember. Thoughtful, attentive, generous with their time and interest. I can give this place the highest recommendation. The region around is also very lovely with excellent opportunities to visit historical sites, natural wonders, and a picture of German life that appears to be little damaged by modern leveling of culture. For what it's worth, if there is a Burger King or McDonald's within 50 miles, we saw no trace of it. Being based at Haus am See, we spent wonderful days exploring this part of Germany.

Also one staff member claimed that there was no deposit for glass bottles in Germany (I'm sure he kept the deposit after he helpfully took the bottles from me). This hotel borders the red light area but really you just see one or two women sitting in a window down the street, so it's not very obvious.

The setting next to the Suentel mountains, surrounded by hiking trails through forests, it always seems like the "end of the world" to me. The food and service are wonderful, the Paulig family goes out of their way to make everything special, and we only wish we could come here more often.
