I booked this place for 4 nights because the reviews were good and it was half a mile from my friends and from downtown. It's PERFECT!!!!! The room is clean, comfortable and neatly soundproof. I wish I had stayed here for the entire 10 days I was in Garmisch. The breakfast is outstanding and the service is equally as outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel. They even helped me book my ticket to Zugspitz! I have zero complaints. Excellent hotel in a perfect location.

The hotel restaurant is also not bad in case you don't want to take a walk to the many cafes nearby. The view is excellent and if you ask for a room with a view you won't regret it. Unfortunately for us we were given a room with no view and only because we did a last minute booking. The prices are reasonable and I would happily come back here anytime. The staff are extremely helpful and prompt and if you need any help they are always wiling to help. Like many hotels in Germany don't expect air conditioning as this is not common. In the summer months leave your windows open and hope for the best.

It provided us an excellent sleep quality with very comfortable queen-sized bed. Bathroom was a little tight, but I can't really complain about it because it's private (you cannot take it for granted in Europe for sure). Free private parking, free wifi, and free breakfast. We enjoyed a very decent breakfast buffet (photos, currently being served cafeteria style. It probably will go back to what it was (self serve) once we're done with this COVID pandemic. One could always hope.) Great location with only four-minute short walk to the town center with shops, restaurants and attractions. The hotel is within short walking distance of downtown (many restaurants and shops). But with its own beer garden it's hard to find a reason to leave. Great for families as well, this hotel has a very nice play area for children. And the trails along the river or up the mountains are another big plus to this location.

The location was ideal for visiting Füssen, Neuschwanstein, and anywhere else in the area. It was a quick 2 minute drive to Hohenschwangau in one direction and 3 minutes to Füssen in the other. It was about 40 minutes to Zugspitze and about an hour to Garmisch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke english, so I was able to check in and check out easily. As for the rooms; the bathroom in room 3 was very spacious, the one in room 4 was a little smaller but still good. The kitchens in both rooms were great, could have used a few more glasses, but that is nit-picking. There was a small fridge and dishwasher in both. The beds were comfortable. Most importantly, the entire place was clean and well maintained. I cannot recommend the Haus Alpenrose high enough. Hands down one of the best vacation rentals that I have stayed in. Very reasonably priced for what we got. The location is absolutely perfect and I will definitely be staying here again. You can literally see Neuschwanstein from the parking lot!

Tonight's meal was schnitzel, always tasty. I think my favorite part is the way the rooms (and especially the bathrooms) have been updated and modernized, but they still feel classic. The breakfast buffet is typically Austrian with a lovely mix of breads, spreads, cold cuts, yoghurts, fruit and a few warm dishes like scrambled eggs and bacon - the perfect way to start the day. The dinners are also very yummy and you choose your meal from 3 menu choices all of which always looked very enticing (from chicken to beef to fish to vegetarian) with yummy appetizers and deserts. The Junior Suites all have balconies with unbelievable views of the Alps. A great place to have a glass of wine before or after dinner. They even have a kitchenette with a fridge - perfect for snacks and drinks. The pool an wellness area are also extremely lovely. From the pool chairs you even have a view of the alps. It is definitely a great hotel in which I will most certainly stay again!
