It s a typical and traditional German Black Forest style and design (Schwarzwald in German, it s the mountain. A lots of wood, old furniture from the area, but nicely arranged, it s not heavy. It a all in one, restaurant & bar, hotel and spa (see the pictures). The spa is brand new with a fitness room, sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, in spa bar... The food was very good, fine and tasty, like the fois gras soup with chanterelle mushroom and pork meat. The service was nice we were very well looked after. There is a nice ambiance around the bar. Getting back to the Schwarzwälder Torte (BFC), it's soaked in enough Kirschwasser (cherry schnapps) to make you long for your grandmother's company. You're seated quite comfortably in the traditional upholstery expected from the region's longer-running establishments. Waitstaff is quick and attentive surprisingly and regardless of how full it is. In the summer, there's a terrace which seats about 30 in addition to the indoor 40 or so seats. The coffee and hot chocolate are strong and tasty, but Adler also has an alcohol permit, so you feel free to order an Aperol Spritz if the sugar is getting to you.
