It's located right next to the famous "National Park" in the city of Uruapan, Michoacán. I had coffee, Fresh Green Juice & Chilaquiles & everything was ver delicious! The service was great as well. This hotel is beautiful! The gardens are so green & full of flowers, little singing birds everywhere,such a relax vibe. This is the perfect Hotel to stay in Uruapan. We've stayed here four times now, immensely enjoying each visit. The first time, in 2000, was supposed to be a quick one-night stay, and was based on a recommendation we received from some guy standing outside an Oxxo gas station in Uruapan, as we were on our way to Lake Pátzcuaro and Morelia. We loved this Garden of Eden setting so much, (Cupatitzio is located next to the verdant Eduardo Ruiz National Park), that we ended up staying here for three days. JP had to practically drag me out of here kicking and screaming. I did not want to leave. At an elevation of 5,310 feet, Uruapan, Michoacan has a delightful climate, with lots of sunshine, low humidity and is never hot. Even in the rainy season (May through October) there's still abundant sunshine with the afternoon thundershowers rather brief. Rooms are clean, comfortable, modern and inexpensive. Parking at the hotel is easy and abundant. The grounds are beautifully maintained, graced with a pristine pool. The hotel restaurant is top notch with delicious and excellently prepared dishes. You will be wowed by the service at the restaurant, with all sorts of formally-dressed staff fussing over every one of your needs. A self-serve laundry and gym are on the premises. But the best part of staying at Cuaptitzio are the jilguerillo birds they keep in cages on the second floor. These birds have the most magical charming call that starts low and trills up the octave. I love this hotel, and can't wait to return for a little R&R!

Quite the one of a kind property they have here…read more Located just on the outskirts of Patzcuaro, Mexico this little gem was perfect for our families accommodations for anniversary celebrations. Rooms were clean, showers were hot, internet was easy to connect to and the grounds are immaculate. This Best Western has the look and feel of an authentic Mexican chalet. We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast buffet, it had just about any Mexican culinary breakfast item you could think of. Between all that and the price, a whopping $45 USD really couldn't go wrong at this Best Western!

Equally stunning is the landscape architecture that brings all these natural wonders to life. Someone really had heavenly inspirations. As you walk--and there's a LOT of walking, you come across stunning waterfalls gushing water one right after another after another. Mrs. Yelper said it reminded her of Hawaii. Uruapan has something special here, not to be missed if you are in the area.

Patzcuaro is unmissable if you like well-preserved Spanish Colonial towns with an indigenous feel. La Siranda was located literally steps from the main plaza and from Casa de las Once Patios which has some wonderful art and crafts. We spent 3 days meandering through the streets, markets, sipping coffee and watching the world go by. We also drove out for a day trip to Santa Fe de la Laguna which was beautiful and to Tzintzintzun. It was very relaxing to return to the luxurious comfort of La Siranda every late afternoon and to read with a glass of wine on the patio by the garden. We had breakfast at the hotel which was very high quality and absolutely delicious. All of Isabel's staff were very efficient and thoughtful and tolerant of our patchy Spanish language skills. We wish we could have stayed longer as our stay was so relaxing. We arrived by car from Morelia and were lucky enough to park outside of the hotel on the street. I understand that parking is available close-by for a small fee at a neighboring property if you cannot find space on the street. We would highly recommend La Siranda and would love to visit again. This was our second choice, but we will keep it on our list of places to go whenever we come to Uruapan Michoacan. The entrance was a little confusing at first, but just keep coming in until you see a light and someone in the little office. Right away we could tell this was a family business. After we checked in, we were led to our room down a narrow hallway. The door looks like it comes from a 17th century commerce ship. Very charming. When we entered the room it was quite lovely. Very small but charming. Then took it to the bedroom. We climbed a beautifully crafted set of stairs. It really is a charming place. We also had dinner here this evening and it was a joy. The dining room is beautiful. We feel so lucky. Oh, and after 8:00 p.m., there's a very cozy and wonderful little bar in the basement. Great place.

Each room is personalized with its own name and its own décor which I enjoyed immensely. I was given the option of two available rooms and after viewing both I must say there was no wrong choice. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated. In Patzcuaro the nights can get very chilli, so color me impressed when I found that the hotel had provided foot warmers. Every morning a breakfast was provided by friendly and helpful staff. They (the staff) also knew the area very well providing information about the upcoming events and places to go to find what I wanted. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great relaxing place with friendly and competent staff.
