Nope. Small hotel near the center of town. Not overtly dirty but definitely needs some intensive cleaning, care and attention. Noisy. The toilet leaked and the pillows were "crunchy". Inexpensive by US standards but not recommending. read more

The gardens around the property are wonderful, the service is excellent, and overall it's a great spot in Fortín. We had an excellent breakfast at the restaurant here. I had the huevos tirados, a Veracruzano special and they were soooo good. They also brought us fruit and bread with their homemade jams, which included flavors like pineapple coconut, guava, papaya with pineapple, and strawberry. They were all so good but that pineapple coconut will sit in my memory forever - just, WOW. Such a great spot, highly recommend.

They do have Secure parking but it is 3 or 4 blocks down the street away from the hotel. The hotels location can't be beat as it is right on the zocalo in the historic center. Beautiful at night with the lights on the "palacio" ... and with the Zocolo music everywhere, very festive. The hotels rates are very fair and there is enough space in the rooms to be accommodating, nothing too terribly special, but fine. Plenty of hot water.

The room was spacious and pleasant and even had a couch. The mattress was good and firm. Restaurant located in lobby of main hotel building. The hotel is conveniently located several blocks from the Zocalo and provides easy access to the river walk. There are zoo animals located along the river walk, including a lion. My room was very quiet and secluded on the third floor of that building. I went to Zongolica for two nights and when I came back they had closed that building and put me on the second floor of the main building. (Apparently, they only open the building across the street for overflow). That room in the main building was nice but extremely noisy, There is a karate studio which hold classes for children down the hall in the same building, and they are open late. The main floor offers a cafe with standard light fare and specialty coffee drinks. Conveniently located a block away from the AU bus station (buses to Puebla) just across the river. Recommended. As of this writing, my room was 690 MXN per night.
