This Hyatt House was renovated out of an old court house and caters to the Andreas Quarters art scene. There are plenty of theater productions and art galleries a plenty, plus there are two amazing restaurants right inside. The piano bar is amazing with such a great lounge feeling. When you walk in the lobby is MASSIVE but so well decorated to make you feel at home. Little areas to sit and read the many books provided, gorgeous artwork to look at, stunning architecture...the list goes on. Oh, and the rooms are massive and priced perfectly, and their brand news, super cozy, and best of all quiet. Staff is top notch and accommodating to all the request you may have. Breakfast is fantastic, the Gym is big...nothing more to say, this place is really really good and I put it at the top of the list. If you do stay here, I recommend an early morning stroll down to the Rhein River along the quarter and take a look at all the plazas and squares in the early morning hours before everything starts to move, absolutely breathtaking with all the public art.

Booking was very easy online and I was even able to name the approximate time, when I wanted to check into the hotel. This is an especially convenient feature when you arrive in town early and want to go directly to the hotel room. Getting to and from the Düsseldorf main station (Hauptbahnhof) was a breeze and within ca. 15-20 minutes (depending on the connection), I was already standing in front of the hotel, which is about a two minute walk from the metro and bus stations. The staff at Centro was extremely friendly and helpful with any requests I had: they helped me find my way into the center of town, navigate the bus system, print out at the very last minute important documents of mine, hold my bags in a safe spot while I toured the city on my last day. I felt very welcome during my 48 hours in Düsseldorf! The rooms themselves (I had a single room looking out onto the square) are simple, very clean and comfortable and fitted with all the necessary amenities (towels, soap, gratis sparkling water, TV, a strong WiFi connection, information on the hotel services and surrounding area). A breakfast buffet downstairs in the main guest room was included each morning and was a perfect start to the day. Overall, the comfort and affordability of the rooms, the convenient location as well the kind staff make the Centro Hotel an excellent deal. The smaller size of the hotel makes for a much more pleasant and intimate atmosphere than at bigger hotels - you really have the feeling here that the personnel are attentive to your needs and genuinely interested in improving your comfort level and that makes a big difference to me!
