-Great location; Gothic Quarter
Central to main attractions. It took my friends and I 15-30 min to reach main attractions via metro, which is about 2 blocks away. Therefore, it was easy to grab a bite to eat, visit 1-2 attractions, eat again, come back &recharge and go out again without wasting your day.
Tons of stores around to buy basic necessities&food.
Taxi wasn't able to drop us off directly in front of the hotel on some days,so it would drop us off 1 block away.
On other days,it would drop us off in front of the hotel.
-Rooms:
Our room was great; spacious, two comfy twins, daily cleaning(although I put the do not disturb sign on the doorknob so I could nap and the cleaning crew tried coming in twice and woke me up-.-)
AC worked great.
My friends room, however smelled extremely musky(like wet towel) the moment they arrived.
-Service:
I came in with a group of 30+ ppl, and they messed up our rooming situation:(
They gave my friend and I 1 single, when we requested 2 twins, in room 261.
Then we came down to the lobby to fix our situation, only to find that the guy at the front desk just finished yelling and hanging up on a dance companion of mine for a room error that the hotel made. Then when we told him about the incorrect beds,he said I would have to come back in the morning to switch rooms.
Then they told our two dance companions that their room was 267,they asked around and came to find out that room 267 did not exist, but that they belonged in our room 261... So their were 4 people in a room with one bed.
Situation was cleared up that night and we were given a great room after.
All in all,I didn't mind the experience much because I only came here to sleep. read more
