Plenty of historic things to see and lots of places to eat, drink, coffee, ice cream and some shopping. Limited parking at the hotel, but they have arranged parking at a near by lot that isn't terrible... if you don't have a lot of luggage. When I arrived, the front desk lady was kinda rude. Not just the luggage barrier either. Her English was good, as was the entire staff. She just wasn't friendly of helpful. The lobby is bright and lively, modern decor. I was upgraded both stays (I stayed three total nights, two separate stays; Thursday night and then Sunday & Monday night). My "upgraded" rooms were nothing special. One on the first floor and one on the sixth. Both supposedly had a view. First floor room was a view of construction. No fridge or bathtub in either room. Stained carpets in both. Iron and ironing board in both rooms were used and appreciated. There is a modest gym on property. The breakfast is a truly amazing highlight. Huge variety of fresh items, something for everyone. The lobby bar is nice too. Checking in as a Gold member you get one free drink (beer or wine) I won't stay here again though. Other places worthy of trying that offer the same or more.

The breakfast buffet is the same every morning, so you may want to go out a few days if you stay more than a week like I did. They offer connecting rooms which is nice for a family traveling together. My kids had one room and we were in the adjoining room. Deducted one star due to our AC dripping out of the ceiling one night keeping us awake and due to our kids beds not being made and no fresh towels in their room on another day even though our room was taken care of.

My room was absolutely lovely. It was clean and smelled fresh. It had a modernized look as does the entire hotel. I loved the bathroom, but I could not figure out how to turn on the square showerhead that was up at the ceiling, so I showered with the smaller showerhead instead. I had been traveling that day so just wanted a shower and a nap. Didn't want to take extra time to contact the front desk to get some assistance with figuring it out. I loved the layout of the room. Having the different areas separated really made it homely. I didn't have too much of a view from my room though. One side was simply the roof, and the other side had a glimpse of a beautiful building in the distance. The bed was inviting and extremely comfortable. I watched a little television before nodding off to sleep. Later that night, I was able to get some work done because there was a wonderful desk in the room with ample lighting. There is a restaurant located in this hotel. I was able to enjoy a wonderful dinner with some colleagues during my second night stay. I enjoyed my time at this hotel. The next time I am visiting Poznan, I will definitely stay there.

We were expecting something rather more up-market than our normal standard for city breaks (where…read morewe reckon we won't be in our room for too long). However we were rather gobsmacked to find what we had booked. Our room was huge, with a dedicated sitting area (complete with sofa), a cooking/kitchen area equipped with crockery, cutlery and utensils. The bathroom was equally spacious, with a very large bath and generously provided with toiletries. Our room had a big roof-light, with concealed lighting and curtaining draped rather like a sailing ship. The effect was to make grey autumn days look like summer. The hotel is really a self-contained village, spread over a large area, with a range of restaurants, shops, pubs and (I think) a casino. I suspect that many clients are business people, and for the average tourist there are few attractions close by. However, once you get to grips with the excellent Poznan public transport services, travelling to the old town, cathedral etc is very easy.

If you have a room with double beds they are slightly bigger than a US twin but certainly not a US queen. Bed is comfortable. Bath is fine but a high step into a slippery tub if not careful. Enough desk space in the hotel. Television has a variety of channels but I found I had to keep it on CNN to hear only English and I was unable to disable the subtitles or voiceover to watch a movie, that was frustrating. My truly only gripe is that they do not provide adapters for foreign travelers. I called the reception and they offered to charge my phone there. Its actually my computer I do not want to die and not my phone. I travel quite often and have had hotels provide me with adapters to borrow. I think a small amenity that goes a long way. I have been to this hotel before and can say the food in the hotel restaurant is good and I would recommend however depending on when you go the wait can take a minute. Oh the other frustrating thing, I'm staying for a week I would think you would ask to keep my card on file for incidentals. They did not so 30 min later when trying to order from restaurant I had to take extra steps to grab my credit card again to pay for the food as opposed to easily charging to my room.

The hotel has a very inviting lobby, cozy restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the rooms are not only clean and comfortable but high tech and environmentally friendly. The room is controlled using a tablet; change the TV station or turn on/off the lights in your room. I wish I could have enjoyed the courtyard which I'm sure is amazing in the warmer months. The only negative was the booming sound from the restaurant/bar on Friday night (which was situated directly below my room). I'd tolerate it again though.
