Great for business travelers who need efficient service, free wifi, and a good breakfast to start the day.
There are a few English speakers on staff which has made our trip much easier for arranging taxis and trips around town. There's a nice outdoor area you can work or eat in if you need fresh air.
The beds are spring mattresses, which aren't as comfortable as foam, but they aren't terrible either. The walls seem to be insulated enough not to hear every detail from your neighbor, unlike some other hotels we've been told about in the area.
The showers are quite hot with decent water pressure, which makes a morning much better. Room amenities include hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, cotton-swabs, shower cap, American outlets, refrigerator stocked with juices, beer, and sodas, as well as peanuts, chips, and snack bars.
Room service is also available doing certain times of the day and the food was quite fresh. There are cheaper options for lunch in the area, but if you need to power through getting some work done in your room, it's very convenient to order room service either online or at the hotel desk.
Laundry service can be provided with a 24hr turn-around and is charged by the piece between R$5 - R$40 per piece. There is a laundromat down the street for R$44 an entire load with wash & fold service as well.
All in all, we seemed to have a much better experience than the other conference attendees staying at other hotels nearby, so I'd definitely recommend the Slaviero Slim on your visit to Curitiba. read more
