I arrived early and had to wait for my room, but I think they wound up upgrading me to a suite on the prestige floor without an upcharge. It was wonderful. Breakfast buffet was not included, but at 22 euro was a bargain, and had variety for traditional Dutch breakfast, French/German styles, and US/English style. All very nicely done. Had an early pick up for a taxi back to Schipol at the end of our stay, and the night clerk graciously prepared coffee and tea for us. Would certainly stay again if I had reason to come back to this city.

Very happy with this place…read more Pros: breakfast is fantastic. I arrived 6am and room was not available until 11am. Only one solution to that problem! Balcony was nice and the place was mostly quiet, even with the younger crowd. Pool and exercise rooms were completely empty late evening so you can have it all to yourself. Cons: everything is a bus ride away from here and the closest bus stop is a 15min walk. Walking is OK, but I can do that for free at home. Time is money when traveling so I prefer to spend it wisely by booking somewhere closer to the action. Double that when considering how rainy and cold it can be here in the off season.

I have had it in the past. The owner is a sommelier by now, and she has a great palate and vision of paring dishes with a good wine. She has traveled to South Africa and the US in search of interesting wines. One of my favorites is her choice of an English port, it's very yummy: Taylor's in case you read this far and want to know. It is not as sweet as some of the Portuguese ones. This is a good place to eat and enjoy some chill ambience.

You could notice that the people working in this hotel takes care of the maintenance and appearance since you park your car. Everything looks clean and well organized. The two girls at the reception were very nice and asked all the questions to be sure I had a comfortable stay. They gave me suggestions to local restaurants and gave me tips to park my car in town. The room was spacious and well organize. Flat TV , a good desk and overall... free internet. The bathroom is small but clean and modern, I love the shower. They even rent you a bike if you want to go out and do some sightseeing on your own. It is not too close to the city but if you can ride like 4 miles, you will be ok. I would suggest anybody to stay here if you don't want to pay the hotels in Amsterdam... it is only 20 minutes away. Breakfast is included too.

What I did not realize was the completely desolate location. Located in an office park, there are no restaurants, gas stations or convenience stores nearby. while riding a bicycle 4 miles might have been fun fifty years ago, I was not interested in a rainy night ride, so I called one of thr local, hotel recommended, pizza delivery options. I was told I would need to place the order with hotel reception. I called reception and was told that they would call back in a minute to take my order. Nearly an hour later I called to enquire, and was informed that they had forgotten. 45 minutes later a really good pizza arrived. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom, only a dispenser of some sort of liquid in the shower and by the sink. I remember these soap dispensers from elementary school. It's been a long time since I stayed in a room of this category that lacked a refrigerator or mini-bar. I don't think the single cup ice dispenser in the lobby makes up for the deficiency.

Everything was nicely furnished: the bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful, and the room was good-sized. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and convenient to much of the city. Breakfast is served in the morning in a breakfast room (I believe outside, too, weather permitting) and consists of bread, cheese, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, and so on. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, also! There is a bit of street noise, depending on the evening, although this was not a problem for me. As with many hotels the stairs are steep and there is no lift/elevator, but again, this was no problem. All in all, a very good experience. I would definitely stay here again!
