This is a review for the hotel not restaurant…read more Pooh and I stayed here while visiting Tadoussac. The hotel - motel Le Béluga delivers a very basic room. First we stayed in the motel so I cannot comment on the hotel though from the outside the hotel looked nicer. The motel is above the restaurant and our room was plain. Cons: The TV was small the channels were the same is if you had rabbit ears - no specialty channels like Bravo or Showcase. We didn't even have CBS, NBC or ABC just CTV and CBC. The soap dispensers in the bathroom were practically empty. We had to push the button maybe 10 times to get 1 tsp of gel. The "patio" door didn't lock - no latch. Just simple things that could have been remedied but weren't. Other cons: The reception was in the hotel so if you needed extra toilet paper or coffee capsules you had to go outside. The motel is next to the highway so if you sleep with the patio door open you'll hear transport trucks all night. The shower is made for people people 5'5" and smaller. I'm 6'2". Pros: The bed was comfortable, there was a mini fridge, a coffee maker and hardwood floors. We will definitely return to Tadoussac but stay at a different location.

We had kids in tow and they have a kids meal for $12 which comes with some housemade beignets soaked in caramel. The kids were too full to eat so we did. Score!! Food: We ordered fish and chips. Mussels in beer with fries$19, clam chowder, bang bang shrimp and Steak with side salad and home fries. Fish and chips$19 we're great with a ridiculous tartar sauce. I had to steal the kid's too. It was awesome for the fries. The fish was quite fresh. I believe it was cod. The mussels were also fresh. I kinda wished the broth was a little more flavourful but thats ok. My friend said the clam chowder was good but not the same as Boston broth more on the thin side. Fair enough, thats expected since Boston is known for their chowder. The steak is the downer. Its tiny 8oz for $29 and its not a good cut. I'm pretty sure its top sirloin. A bit pricey for a cheap, tiny cut. Service: Its pretty good. It's seat yourself so we went in to let them know we're sitting outside. We had rambunctious kids with us and we didn't want to disturb the other patrons inside. They said no a problem. The service was quick. Got our cold beers rigt away. They brought some sliced baguettes. Given its a tiny basket for 7 people but they gave us more when we asked. The food came not long after. Our steak was forgotten though buy she knew it as soon as the food came out. Right away she went in and had it done. She apologized and was really funny about it. All in all i would recommend this spot!

Upon arrival, we were told the cook was on vacation so we wouldn't get our complimentary breakfast. When I gently pushed back, they immediately said they would arrange for toast, cereal, yogurt and coffee; I had to ask for peanut butter every morning. Every time I was told I was getting "the last one" ... until someone else asked! I've no idea why the Jiffy was being rationed. We were there for three nights but our beds were never made, towels were not refreshed and garbage was never removed. There was mold on the tiles and window in the bathroom. TV didn't work in two rooms and my coffee maker was broken. The room layout was illogical during to the mobile AC unit. For the price, this property is not worth it.

We had dinner there too, five years ago it was a great address with a wonderful menu, today the menu looked nice, but everything was served in a slushy way, poor tomato and mozarella, tiny stone crab legs and the worst was the dessert, so called home made and everything was industrial from the tin can, fruit salad and the chocolate mousse. For the atmospher, the serving crew was not smiling nore friendly, I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

This is a farm cum lodgings provider. Due to it being a farm there's more stuff to see than at a…read morenormal hotel; there're also activities (at least in summer). There's a choice of accommodations (e.g. rooms, chalets & yurts) We got a very nicely furnished suite with a lot of amenities. Only downside was that there were a lot of flies (this was in early fall; we got a fly swatter from reception) WiFi did not work in the suite but elsewhere it was ok You can do self-checkin 24 hours via a lockbox, which is nice (for almost all lodging in the area, you must arrive by 8 or 9pm at the latest)
