Having confirmed my reservation and taken my money, I was then notified that my "request" to arrive after midnight was "subject to availability."
Of course, it was not a "request." It was a condition of the reservation, specified as part of the agreement. I can hardly be expected to fly to a foreign country and stand outside on the street after midnight with my child in midwinter in a strange city wondering whether I can get into the hotel I have reserved.
Hotel did not reply to repeated messages (in English and Spanish).
UPDATE: 48 hours later, as my flight to Córdoba was awaiting take-off, I did finally receive an email from hotel confirming that I could check in after midnight.
Room is sizeable, as is lavatory. Midwinter, but room is warm. Turning on A/C (set to cool) results in *warm* air blow, but can simply open tilt window, so OK, though on lower floor facing street, so frequently awakened by traffic noise, etc. Pleasant common areas, and breakfast.
It may well be the best hotel in Córdoba, but on a North American / Euro scale, it's a high three-star. Imagine a Leonardo with a better restaurant.
