The lobby area is very historic feeling and is the perfect place to cozy up to the fire and have a glass of burgundy. The staff went our of their way to be helpful, particularly Jean Claude. This hotel is a large part of the reason we fell head over heels for Beaune.

The bartender is very nice and the hotel owner hangs out at night to welcome you and knows the details of your stay. They arrange to call domaines as well to help you with wine tastings.

We made 2 day trips to Beaune and Dijon from here. Our room was well appointed with an updated and spacious bathroom (with both a shower and bathtub). We stayed in July and appreciated the air conditioning unit, although it was a tad noisy. The owner, Peter, was always available and spoke English which was very helpful. We had access to the living room and kitchen, which provided everything we needed (e.g. coffee and tea, aluminum foil, plates, cups, silverware). One of my favorite memories while staying at the hotel was our evening walks. We could walk outside and admire the gorgeous vineyards (just a few steps away), walk to downtown to have dinner, or walk through the quiet neighborhood to photograph the surrounding vineyards. Les Deux also has a great patio where you can have breakfast, light snacks (salad, cheese, fresh pasta), and drinks. We arrived around 1pm and had a charcuterie plate and wine while enjoying the warm sunshine. It was picture perfect and we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant afternoon. The hotel is housed in an old winery, and they still have a working wine cellar. We did wine tasting in their cave and really enjoyed the informative presentation from Matt! It was a group of 4 with my husband, myself, and one other couple. Matt was very passionate and knowledgeable about wine but provided the information in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. If we ever have a chance to visit Burgundy again, we will be sure to stop by Les Deux Chevres!

Dang, I had no idea how great this place was until I left!!…read more Beautiful Beaune was a stop on a tour, and we had the privilege to stay here for two nights. Boy, was it the best sleep I had on that tour! It's a completely charming hotel located right next to our railstop, and it was really the perfect place to stay in such a quaint town. I absolutely enjoyed our time here, and the staff were so friendly and helpful during the entire stay. (One thing to note is that like many European accommodations, they do not offer a lift, so if you have heavy bags, it would be best to request a room situated close to the ground level.) They conveniently offer wifi for their guests (works best in the lobby area) and if you're coming in and out after hours, you can just go through their back door accessible through a pinpad. We always left the hotel earlier than when their restaurant/bar opened up, so I'm not sure how the food is there, but I imagine its good. It's only a 10-15 walk towards the main part of town, so if you're stopping in Beaune, this is the place to stay. It's beautiful out here, and seriously, really comfy beds!

HDF got new owners a couple fo years ago and the feeling has changed dramatically. It is a small family with two beautiful little girls who have totally revamped the rooms and the restaurant. The burger is the best in Beaune, no doubt about it. The rooms look and feel great and the service is so hospitable it feels like a family living room. Try to get the rooms on the opposite side of from the train station if you like to sleep with the window open. Large moving objects and sleeping do not always mix well but that is the only price you pay for a sweet little spot that is not too expensive right in the heart of Burgundy wine.
