The inn has a long history, it has been documented that it has been there for at least 491 years and it is possibly the only inn in Germany with royal privileges from the Danish King (that part of Germany used to be Denmark in the good old days). The rooms are not at all luxurious, but they are reasonably priced, clean and 'correct'. The inn is also known for it's gourmet restaurant, and maybe also for the slow service in the restaurant. The young male waiter was quite friendly, but a young female waitress could win the world championship in ignoring her customers. The dessert I ordered never materialized, not even after a friendly reminder! And no, it was not because of communication problems, ich spreche auch deutsch! (I stayed at the inn on 4th July 2011)
