We stayed here two nights when we were in Florence. We booked this hotel through a travel agency that we'd typically use. They had pretty good ratings and it was centrally located in a nice spot in Florence where we can walk to a lot of places.
I'm only giving this three stars because I thought our stay was just okay. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice but the room was uncomfortable. First of all, I do know that a lot of European hotels that aren't crazy expensive are fairly small compared to the ones in the US. This room specifically was really tiny and unfortunately we had no control of the temperature in the room. During the night it got really hot and opening the window is not an option because our window faced an alleyway so any noise that came through was amplified by like a hundred. Obviously the streets are small so noise is going to travel - it was very difficult to sleep. There was a thermostat in the room but we had no authorized privileges to change the temp to make it cooler, which really sucked.
Again, overall this was just okay. read more
