Won't be staying here again and will encourage friends and relatives not to either. First of all my partner showed up late at night and the person at the desk was very creepy to her. We almost checked out right then and there, but the hotel has a very strict policy for prepaid stays so we figured we'd tough it out. The next morning we went to breakfast and learned after we ate them that the vegan waffles actually had eggs in them. To top it off, they were out of coffee for the coffee maker in the room, and we weren't taking our chances with the restaurant. Finally to call this a "spa" as it is labeled on other websites is a stretch. Essentially it's just a regular hotel with a sad tiny hot tub that looks like it's been clogged by gray pubic hairs since 1993. At least one old man took off his speedos to get in - that's an image I can never erase in my mind - guess that the thing to do at this hotel. I can't imagine anyone pays for the spa services here, but whatever they want to call it. Overall it was a creepy, rickety old spot - as soon as we got the the hotel in Nice (our next destination) I took a shower just to get the scent of the place off me. Yuck! read more
Stayed at Hotel Victoria for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a throwback to another time period. Very traditional look and feel to the hotel but everything is clean and updated. Our room was large, nicely appointed and the air conditioning worked very well as we stayed there during a heat wave. The bathroom was also large, very clean and totally updated. The staff at the hotel were very helpful with directions, calling taxi's etc. the buffet breakfast was well stocked with a variety of food and beverages. Something for everyone. The breakfast room was nice but what made the area special was a beautiful courtyard where you could enjoy the breakfast buffet (or any other meal or beverage). The other big advantage of Hotel Victoria id their Central Torino location. Virtually all the prominent sights, shopping streets etc are only a few minutes walk from the hotel. If we get back to Torino, we will be sure to stay here. read more
Really liked the Hotel Victoria. Great location in the centre of Turin, so perfect for retail therapy. Old style hotel with traditional decor but it was clean and comfortable so I'd happily stay here again. I was only here for one night so didn't spend a huge amount of time in the hotel. I booked into the Spa. Guests can use the facilities for free as non-guests usually pay around €40. For two hours, I has the pool, steam room, sauna and lounge area to myself. I had booked a massage which was great. Sign of a good massage for me is I'm so relaxed I fall asleep and I did. Breakfast was good. Hot and cold items and they also have gluten free options which was perfect for me. Eating breakfast out in the garden was lovely too. Staff were friendly and helpful. I actually liked the old world charm of the Victoria and I'd stay here again. read more
