Two nights here, it is quite good. I do not have status with the IHG chain but I had booked direct so we were put in a twin bed room on the first floor facing the street. Despite that, there wasn't too much street noise and the balcony overlooking the main roadway was nice to sit on for a bit. The hotel does not have its own parking and instead contracts with a parking deck about 20 meters further along that charges a pretty hefty €25 per day. The room was clean and comfortable. We did not put out the do-not-disturb and so the room was refreshed while we were out sightseeing. Coffee service, fresh towels and the beds were made. They did a good job. Breakfast in the -1 level was very good though I don't know that it was €15 per day good. It's only €10 if you book it when you make the reservation. Typical European continental breakfast with eggs, bacon, breads for toasting, lots of pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, sliced ham and turkey and cheese, etc. Coffee is made to order and I was able to put away a pretty decent sized pot of Americano while waiting for my travel mate to wake up, up stairs. The hotel is not quite centrally located but there are restaurants nearby and the Verona Arena is only a mile away down the well traveled boulevard. Bathroom consisted of full sized shower and separate bathtub with television so you can soak and relax. Front desk attendants were friendly and extremely helpful. I found the easiest way to get here from the train station was by taxi ($10 euro inc tip). Google Maps transit guide cannot be trusted. Buses with route numbers greater than 100 do not stop in Verona as suggested by Google. The bus shelter is confusing to a first timer. Not sure when to stand at island B1 or B2. I got on the 51 which listed the correct direction stop on its board only to find that it meant where it was coming from, not going. Not sure why I care where it's been but after 3 stops I knew it was definitely going the opposite way that I was supposed to be. The walk may be 15 minutes but it's uneven surfaces and across a major roundabout intersection. In short, spend the ten.

It is in the middle of a wine plantation and they have the wine warehouse next to the rooms. So the smell of wine in the bedrooms is terrible. There are no indication to where is the reception and parking is far way. We could not stay because of the mess that there was in the lobby of the hotel and we were informed that they would not debit our credit card. We made reservation with Hotels.com. But for our surprise, we have been charged and they do not want to refund the charges. It is a place to avoid.

Terraced into a beautiful mountain, this property is the total package - a vineyard, enoteca, olive orchard, villa, restaurant, catering hall, pool, resort. David, the manager was such a sweetheart, and he speaks nearly-perfect English. We enjoyed his company as much as we enjoyed the property! He gave us a lovely tour of the villa, including a demo of the medieval-ish rotisserie in the dining room. My boys enjoyed a night of billiards. The sprawling grounds are perfect for an afternoon stroll to visit the peacocks, smell the citrus trees, and even enjoy the swing for a bit! The meticulously-maintained pool perched above the villa and vineyard inspired my teens to experience a sunrise from across the valley. The views from the pool are simply breathtaking. We stayed in the "tower," a duplex apartment which slept all six of us comfortably (two bedrooms and a living room with a pull-out couch), and included a spacious kitchen and posh, newly renovated bathroom. The breakfast spread, included in our booking, was terrific, as were the settings in which we enjoyed them. We ate once in the very pretty breakfast room, and once on the open-air loge, overlooking the grounds. We also enjoyed an evening aperitivo, complete with charcuterie, breads and cheeses. The staff were so incredibly kind, and everyone had smiles for us at all times. There is ample parking, and the location is convenient to the town of Verona and the airport. While there, our family toured the town and also took a cooking class with Luisa Zecchinato at Cooking at the Villa. David also recommended the most divine restaurant - Relais Castrum, which clings to an even higher terrace above the villa and serves the most incredible grilled meats and more, all before the most awe-inspiring view I've ever seen. I can't imagine anything that could have made our stay more wonderful, except for maybe my own bed from home placed in our room. I still can't believe how little our stay cost us - an amazing value, for sure. We truly did not want to leave, and look forward to returning some day.

Breathtaking view with long gorgeous pistes that are catered mostly to intermediate skiers made this my favorite ski resort. The spectacular panoramic view of the Alps exceeds Obereggen and Alta Badia by far, it's hands down the best scenic resort. It's probably one of the most popular ski destination with the possible celebrity sightings such as F.Alonso, Massa, Valentino Rossi who are some of the regulars. With 19 lifts (5 gondolas, 12 chair lifts, 2 surface lifts) the resort offers skiers an incredible 1000 metres (3281 feet) of vertical descent and has 35 pistes with a total length of 60 kilometers. I snowboarded here during the week of Xmas from Dec.23 to Dec. 28 and I cannot ask for any better time to come here..... the pistes were almost empty!!! Since most people prefer to stay home with their family during the Xmas week, we got such an amazing deal for 4 nights stay with 4 days ski pass, breakfast, and 3 course dinner for only 420 euro from a nearby hotel (Hotel Canada)!! However, starting the 28th the pistes were getting crowded and the price hiked. I would definitely go back again...... I can't wait!!!!
