In this case we got a bigger room with excellent ocean and outdoor pool view with a balcony. The best thing we're the TV, double vanity and walk in shower. With a huge window the AC struggles a bit during the day. But at night it gets perfect, or of you use the black out curtains it is fine. The restaurant breakfast buffet was perfect as it was the bar as well. The bar can get pricey but you have plenty of choices next door to either side. Bars and restaurants abound with a 5 minute walk. This makes the hotel location amazing! I loved everything especially the pools. Wishing Veracruz had Uber and its taxis had AC, but this has nothing to do with the hotel. My experience with the hotel was perfect and this is my top choice anytime I head back to Veracruz!

Booked a Saturday (02/10/18) night at this hotel for the Carnaval in early December. The hotel's…read morerate was $271.00 USD for one night which I initially confirmed. I then found a rate of $201.00 on Expedia.com that same day. I actually called and canceled the Emporio reservation and received a cancelation number. Of course when we arrived on Saturday they stated that I had two reservations and they would only honor the more expensive reservation. I didn't have my cancelation number with me, as it was at home in San Diego. My mistake...thank God for AMEX dispute department as this has already been dealt with. As for the hotel, service is just okay. Rooms are again just okay and out-dated. I would not recommend during the Carnaval at all. A true hassle getting in and out. Sunday morning I took a cold shower as there was little water pressure and no hot water. Now here is the kicker, when it was time for my fiancé to shower, she literally had NO water at all from the hot side. She called downstairs and they gave her a lame excuse about a valve being turned off. When the water came back on it was even colder than when I had showered. Now as a reminder we were charged $271.00 for one night and no hot water in the morning. Did we get an apology or anything in regards of a caring attitude on the hotel's part??... Of course not! They're are a lot better choices in and around Veracruz, including the DoubleTree and the new AC Marriott which is a dream. In one word, AVOID!

This is deffinitely a decent hotel considering it's Mexico. We showed up with no reservations not…read morereally knowing where to stay. This would be the equivilant of staying at a Motel 6 in the states. Overall our room had an amazing view, facing Boca Del Rio. The pool was closed for the night but we had them open it up for us. We had a room with two beds, one was comfortable the other matress hard a rock, which is the typical thing. They were accomodating & nice. My Travel tip: Ask to see the room prior to booking & paying. In this case I asked for a room with a view and they let me see two rooms to which we choose one.

Terrible customer service people were rude. The rooms were not clean at all bathroom smell like if it weren't clean for weeks. I would not recomend nor would i stay there. Also there add is miss leading the pool area DID NOT LOOK NOTHING LIKE THERE ADVERTISING. IT LOOK BAD. I WOULD NOT RECOMEN ANYONE TO STAY THERE AT ALL YEA ITS CHEAP BUT U GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IF I COULD RAID THIS I WOULD GIVE IT A NEGATIVE STAR
