I love The Volcan Lanzarote. Love the prime location overlooking Playa Blanca. Loved the creative aesthetic of the hotel (the architect was inspired by the idea of a volcanic island, so it's not designed like a boring conventional hotel, but rather the exteriors are shaped in the theme of a little town, with single villas, and buildings, a church, "parks" (green areas) and lakes/rivers (swimming pools). Really creative design, and stands out from all the other hotels on the island.
The food is excellent, the buffet is massive, with limitless options. Fresh fish, seafood, pastas, meat, salads, an ample array of Spanish tapas, different kinds of coffees and teas, as well as a lavish dessert spread. I felt like Maria Antoinette eating miniature puff pastries and delicious concoctions, marshmallows and sprinkles.
The pools showcase crystal clear, clean water. There are plenty of places to lay out and sunbathe, as well as hot tubs/jacuzzis, so you can enjoy the luxuries of the hotel while appreciating the gorgeous landscape of the ocean behind you. It's within minutes of walking into town, and it's close to what is arguably the most beautiful beach on the island "Papagayo Beach"
My absolute favorite thing about this hotel is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's impeccable, spectacular! I stayed there 3 days for my cousin's wedding, and the quality of service was likely among some of the best I've ever received. The friendly disposition of the staff, the small details in the rooms, it really lives up to its 5 star rating! I absolutely recommend this hotel to visitors looking for a luxurious Lanzarote vacation. read more
