Lots of space to put your luggage or hang your clothes. Bathroom was big, but the shower had no basin, so the water was all over the whole bathroom floor. A little messy, but no big deal. Beds were soft with extra blankets. I didn't interact with the staff, but the room was very clean. I also didn't get a chance to try the restaurant! The people I was touring with seemed to enjoy it!

That's what I used and they were on the top three places to stay in Cochem. I had booked four rooms for my family, because majority of the hotel consisted of one two person beds. We were situated on two floors. One on the level above the cafe and the others on the top floor. Every room we had was amazing! All rooms were spotless and had the best views around. The owner (front desk guy) was very nice and welcoming. He spoke very good English and German (of course!). The hotel is perfectly placed. It is walking distance to: The Bridge (across the Mosel) Good Restaurants and Shops Center of Town (Town Square) Taxi Stop (of which can take you to the castle up on the hill or the train station) The Cafe under the hotel was great and I would refer you to TripAdvisor and my other review of Cafe Germania, here on Yelp. The breakfast was very good and I highly recommend the Weingelee (Wine Jelly). It was some of the best I've ever had! I would also recommend trying out the ice cream place next door. It is on the right when facing the front of the Hotel/Cafe. Would I recommend this place? Yes I would! I am definitely coming back to this place if I can!

We had a great corner room 2 floors up so we had a nice view of the Rhine and the ancient city wall. This was our first stop in Germany on our first visit to the country,. The bathroom was a bit different. The shower is kind of cosy (the doors close into the corner furthest into the room and if not closed completely water gets all over the floor). Everything is tiled so it's not a problem. The room is large and comfortable. The bed is low and very firm but since we'd flown over from the US the previous night, it was perfectly comfortable to get a full night's sleep. This hotel is located at the north end of the town of Oberwesel so it is a great starting point to start walking to look at the ancient wall along the river or explore the town. We walked along the wall (it's got great walkways), up in the towers, then through town. When we returned we decided to dine in the restaurant for dinner. We were tired so close was better. As we were seated and placed our order, we noticed that all the other patrons were speaking German which is always a good sign. We didn't notice any foreign tourists (they're usually somewhat obvious). We ordered traditional German food and it was really tasty. Same for breakfast in the morning. Lots of Germans and good authentic (so I would assume) food. The family hosts were friendly and kind. The son was our server for dinner and spoke great English. The mother and (maybe) daughter took care of breakfast and spoke less well but still did a great job. We loved our visit here and would defiantly return again.

Our room would normally have a million dollar view of the Kurfürstliches Schloss, which is currently under renovations, but the Ehrenbreitstein is visible in the distance. Not only is the room is air-conditioned and comes with a refrigerator and hot pot, but we are provided with a hand-held fan to keep cool when we are outdoors! The lobby has a water-refilling station of both still and sparkling mineral water, which is fitting as Koblenz exports its water! At breakfast, a robot brings trays of used dishes for washer, which probably results in fewer breakages and workplace incidents. At the egg station, omelette ingredients are kept in a closed, refrigerated drawer, which is more hygienic. Jams were dispensed in dispensers, reducing use of single serving plastics. Our favorite is the drinks dispenser which keeps glass bottles of juices and water filled while still letting us pour our glass into our own glasses.

Beds were comfortable and had plug sockets in very use to reach/use places. We were here to race around the Nurburgring so didn't make use of any other facilities apart from to sleep. If you want to park your car in their garage, it's €20 a night but there is a free car park across the road which was fine. They did have scaffolding outside the front of the hotel which was fine until the morning that we were leaving-they started to dismantle it very early which was crazy as it must of woken people up who were staying on the from of the hotel. A decent stay none the less.

I had the feeling they try to keep it a bit High end! There's a really cool bar with lots of posters, signed all over, some memorabilia and really cool bar stools. The hallway is full of pictures, you get the feeling you're in a museum. If you're into Motorsport and visit the Ring, this is the place to stay. Overall a good hotel, with good service, a bit expensive though! The breakfast buffet is the best i've ever had in Europe. Also as i was there, the Restaurant was full of racing drivers, (that weekend was a Porsche Driving School event) I can imagine on F1 week this must be just awesome. The only thing i couldn't understand is how such a nice & expensive Hotel didn't have free Wifi, shame on you Dorint! I don't know if that has changed since i was there for the last time, but if not it's really embarrassing after what you pay here.
