This place is the absolute best. When I stay in Esens, I always stay here. You can't get more central. Four or five or six excellent restaurant or after-dinner drink options within about a 30-second walk (including one right here in the hotel); bank right across the square; bookstore two doors over: What more do I want? The folks are very friendly and speak fair English; not every staff member is fluent, but enough are. Breakfast was superb. Rooms haven't been redecorated in a while, but they're super comfortable, and this place just always feels like home to me. Parking in the rear is through a very narrow alley. It's doable, but be brave. There's only one spot that's super skinny. The best part of this place, I guess, is that the staff is always completely accommodating, whether it was a request for an after-hours cup of tea (!) in our room or fresh scrambled eggs at breakfast.
