Customer service- Ask a question to mr Singh at counter and be told you must wait 45 minutes while he signs in. We needed to ask for ground floor room as the elevator became broke on our first day after taking our luggage upstairs 3rd floor. I asked for 2nd room key but once I got it doesn't open your room door. Ask for ice and he has none but will charge you 2€ for small bottle water, he said he has lemon water on counter for guests but it is now warm water sitting out all day without ice. My visiting guests who bought breakfast with us was told to pay next morning but when you go to pay, nobody is at desk to pay until 10:00 but they must leave and was told to pay the chef, but chef has no change to give back so chef keeps rest. Doors on lobby refrigerator are locked, you must wait til sighn logs in his desk computer before opening refrigerator to buy a semi cold drink. No cold water in lobby for anyone. it's 89*F and the lobby is very warm. I approached the desk, nobody there, I tapped my unusable room card on counter and mr Singh came around corner chewing something, and told me he was having his lunch. I told him My card doesn't work, he said i must try it upside down or sideways or, I stopped him & said It doesn't work after 7 tries but he wants to argue with me. i said please give me a new card that works on my room door. He gave me bad look, said okay i'll give you a new card. Maid came in anyway while my "Do not disturb" sign on door and only folded my duvet but didn't take dirty coffee cups and replace with fresh or remove garbage bags. . This hotel is being run by someone who has never ran a hotel before or understood the concept of customer service. It's in a decent location but not a great place to stay. I would rate -5 if I could. find another place if you want any service at all. We asked him if we could buy a bottle of wine, he unlocked the refrigerator and grabbed one for us, barely cold, we asked for ice to put in a bucket to keep cold. He had none. I asked Mr Singh again if he has any ice in his kitchen where they serve breakfast everyday he said normally he does but not at this time. I asked him if he has ever stayed in a hotel where they had an ice machine for the guests, he said he has never stayed in hotel where they had ice. He said "No, never". I asked if there was a place where we could drive to buy ice but he said, it's Sunday, nothing around is open. I asked if a gas station was nearby if maybe they sold ice. he said maybe a few kilometers away. I'm not from around here, I assumed he knew the area of shops that could help us. I don't think he is here for the hotel but for something else. I asked him if he knew what "Yelp" was and he said "yes". I told him I will write review and it will not be good. I said we have been guests for three days and don't get any customer service. He has nothing for the guests who stay here. He shrugged his shoulders. I don't think he even cares but he just looked down to finish counting his euros and change. He has nothing more to say. This is absolutely unacceptable way to treat guests. He hasn't even tried to apologize or try & accommodate us in any way.

The good: Ten minutes away from the office where I had meetings. Decent breakfast. Bathroom was…read morefunctional. The bad: Small room (typical for Europe). Dirty carpets in common areas. HARD bed. Sparse amenities. Let me stress this again: The bed in this hotel is miserable. It will make you miserable. You will count the days until check out. I know NHs very well. They're not known for comfort, but I was attending group meetings and didn't have a choice for the hotel ... I was not able to sleep on the flight over and was basically with 1 hour of sleep over a 24 hour period. I got only FOUR hours of sleep at this hotel on a night that I should have been able to sleep like a baby on a bed of nails and broken glass. I've stayed in other hotels in Europe. I know that firm beds and small rooms are the norm. However, this bed in this place is extraordinary: absolute torture. Good thing I'm staying only until Friday. I also know better than to engage with the front desk on this, too. Not much they will do other than give the blank "Don't you know you're in Europe" stare that is typically given to Americans on such topics. Update: I ordered three extra duvets from the front desk. I layer each across the bed for extra mattress padding. While it didn't magically transform the bed into something heavenly, it did help me to sleep.

Many times when I am in Neuhausen for business I like to stay at this hotel. It is very clean,…read morevery modern and nearly everyone who works here can communicate easily with a non-german speaker like myself. The Room: spacious and similar to an american room, king bed, a simple counter/desk running the length of the wall give or take. The closet setup is very nice, unless you have many things to hang and then it is a little cramped. The TV is a struggle since they have only german language channels (I know there are a few english ones out there... it would be nice...) but the MTV is tolerable with many more videos than the US... The shower is hot and adjustable and I look forward to it every time I come so that is saying something... The internet can be hit or miss, bring your own cable... but they do have wireless in the lobby that works well. The Restaurant: Always nice to have a restaurant in the hotel, especially on sundays since nothing is open on sundays except gas station food... no thanks... the morning breakfast is a little steep (20 euros) but it is a pretty authentic german breakfast and there are many choices in the buffet. Don't forget to eat a Bretzl (however you spell the big pretzel thing... amazing!). The Bar: Its a hotel bar... but it has comfortable seating, outlets to charge things at the tables by the railing and it is very modern stylish. The Service: Everyone is very friendly and helpful which in general is pretty amazing. They are accommodating to their ability and of course many are fluent english speakers (very helpful) The Location: Parking is a huge pain... Its about 20euro taxi ride from the airport, they do have a shuttle you can take to the airport but I've never figured out if you can get them to pick you up. There is a grocery store only about 3 blocks away that is very nice and there are a number of decent restaurants not very far away. Overall: This is one of the best hotels in the Stuttgart Airport area in my opinion.
