Brandon and Marka have created something really cool here, and in a world where CrossFit has gotten way too serious about what it is (exercise), they've kept it fun. That's a great thing. In terms of space, CrossFit Crossroads isn't the biggest CrossFit gym you've ever seen, but it's super clean, well-organized, and the rig is great. It's all the space you need. And really, I think the smaller size is a really good thing. When gyms are too big, it's inherently harder to get to know people, and there are a lot of cool people here that you'd want to meet here. Best of all, they really care about all aspects of fitness at Crossroads. They want you to have fun getting fit, learning how to move well, and challenging yourself along the way. Good programming and a positive atmosphere are things that separate one CrossFit gym from another, and they have buttloads of both of those things here.

However, not only did they charge me the $15 to come, they then told me I'm not allowed to bring my child because I'm not a paying member. Well I just paid and how can I decide that I want to be a member if they don't let me bring my child to try. And then to top it all off they "don't process refunds themselves" they have to send it out to corporate to process the refund. So long story short, if you have kids, don't waste your time. Get a membership to Paul Derda and you'll be much happier.

The views are spectacular and down right breathtaking. Best of all you're not going to find a better group of coaches anywhere else. The programming is solid and constantly varied. The coaches focus on very thorough warmup and stretching... sometimes the warmup feels like a WOD in itself! The coaches here are incredibly conscious of proper form... they won't have you loading weight on the bar until form is correct. The coaches are well versed in a variety of scaling options for the workouts and will ensure you get the "proper stimulus" no matter what your athletic ability! Also, due to the current situation only one person was allowed in the pool so it pretty much made it pointless. What I also like about Hyland Fit are their HUUUUGE accessible fitness rooms (3 plus the main 2 gyms) with tons of equipment, massive locker rooms with couches and actual sitting areas vs. a bleacher. Also, there's steam rooms and a dry sauna, all kinds of fitness classes included. This is definitely a much higher end gym without the huge cost!
